We dropped in for lunch on the Monday after Christmas. The open sandwiches we had were very good although the portion of chunky chips was small. The hotel has a lovely view over the beach which we enjoyed as we watched the world go by.

I went today to have lunch with a friend Oh my ! I absolutely loved it . The decor is so warming and inviting and the effort put into the Christmas decorations was super The staff were very welcoming and the food was super Keep up the good work just lovely thank you

Appalling Wheelchair access

We held my late father’s wake here this week. Paul and the team had everything expertly planned and organised so it all passed smoothly and without drama. Thank you so much, it meant everything to Mum and I that Dad was ‘given a good send off’. The served finger buffet was delicious and plentiful, everyone had ample: leftovers boxed up to share amongst friends who were unable to attend. Thank you to Paul, the receptionists, the servers and the kitchen staff. I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending The Wentworth to anyone wanting a first class local, facility for their event.

The Wentworth is in a fantastic location, and we certainly enjoyed our sea view room. However, the room was quite small, and with two dogs, it felt even more cramped. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the bed felt too hard for our liking. Additionally, the heating was set to auto, making it impossible to adjust, which left the room uncomfortably warm. The bathroom felt outdated, with a shower that barely worked—definitely not the standard we'd expect. At £249 a night, we thought there would at least be plugs by the bed and a smart TV. To describe the whole place, it felt like the lounge of an old people's home. On a positive note, breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, with the best bacon we've ever had. Unfortunately, the bar staff on Saturday evening were quite stressed and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them when ordering a drink. However, the reception and restaurant staff were polite and helpful. It's a shame the room experience didn’t match the overall service. Aldeburgh was lovely, and we’ll likely return, just not to the Wentworth.

This place is awesome, right on the seafront with fabulous staff and a great menu. Don't pass it up because you think it's not you.

The perfect place to spend a weekend on the coast. Lovely staff, delicious food, and the hotel itself felt like home. We look forward to staying again soon.

Had a lovely chat with young Sam who is an excellent barman and asset to the hotel. Hope all the staff are of this calibre. Lovely setting too.

An excellent light lunch at the Wentworth. A great location, comfortable lounges, and excellent food at reasonable prices

Not up to the standard of our previous visits for Sunday lunch. The staff seemed indifferent and the food was not that hot. I did complain to the waitress but she wasn't that interested. We will give it another go one Sunday as we very much like the hotel, hoping for it to be better, otherwise we'll not be returning.

Truly impeccable service. The most proactive and friendly staff I've ever encountered in my life. They went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic, even stepping in to drive us to the station when our taxi fell through. Delicious food too.

Whilst the hotel has been decorated, there is an unsavoury smell in reception. The bedrooms are clean, but require updating. The supplied hairdryer, an item fixed to the bathroom wall, last seen on Fawlty Towers. No USB ports anywhere in the room. No electrical sockets near the bedside tables. No small fridge for cold items. Long life UHT milk in the bedroom. The tariff for the room, warrants a room in the 21st Century, not 1980s.

Older style costal hotel with some charm. Bar and restaurant open to all. Nice terrace on the sea. Only visited, didn't stay.
