Lovely building with nice garden surrounding it. Tables and chairs so you can sit outside. No heaters outside. Large car park including disabled spaces. There is a ramp as well as steps up to the entrance.
Went as a group of 3 as they had an offer on. It was quite busy so despite booking we had quite a wait for our table. Had to wait for waitress to wipe the table, and she only used paper towel, no cleaning spray. The room was extremely hot! Also had quite a wait to be served at the carvery. Had very little meat left. Some of the spoons for serving were very hot. Food was good.
Ordered desert, again quote a wait. 2 of us ordered ice cream sundaes, which were served in warm sundae glasses, resulting in the ice cream melting very quickly. When my elderly brother went to pay, he forgot he was using a voucher, so they charged him full price. He asked if he could be refunded and was told no. He asked for the manager who also told him there was nothing they could do. This is ridiculous when they have an offer on they should ask if the customer is using a voucher, and there must be a way to re enter an order into the till when a mistake is made. Will definitely be reporting to head office.

Waited quite a while for the meat carver guy to appear, wasn't busy, so don't know what the problem was 🤔
The food could have been hotter but was tasty.
Was quite dark in the dining room, a little more lighting would held with the atmosphere.

I'm a bit of a toby carvery connoisseur (it's my favourite restaurant 😅) but this has to be the best toby we've been to! You'd think the food would taste the same as every chain, but some how this one was even more delicious! The staff were all lovely but I'd like to give a special mention to Matt for exceptional customer service! He checked if I was veggie when I asked for no meat and processed to tell me everything I could and couldn't have without me needing to ask, even pointing out which one was the veggie gravy! It might seem silly but it really is the little things some times and it made my meal :) we'll be back!

The carvery itself was in the main good. The stuffing was really dry and the carrots also had poor appearance. It was the service that was poor, we had to wait 15 minutes for plates to be cleared and then we had to find someone to order sweets and when one of them arrived it was cold

The staff were very nice and the food was delicious but the Yorkshire pudding was not the best. Definitely will recommend though.

Thank you Lew for your kind service to my party of 12 today 2pm. Was a wonderful place to sit and dine bit 🥶 in seating area the little heating fan didn't quite do the job but the carvery was tasty.

We ate at the Toby carvery tonight ,my wife and I and Granddaughter ( The English family) and we were very impressed by both the quality of the food and friendly staff in attendance and found it very good value for money. Thankyou to all involved.

Always lovely in here! Staff are really nice and always come over and make sure everything is okay. The food is always piping hot and always really good everytime. The building is also beautiful inside and out. Definitely recommend!!

The worse experience I've ever had in a Toby Carvery - we won't be returning thats for sure!
Firstly we arrived just after 11am - we stood at the reception for a good 10/15mins patiently, there was no membership of staff in sight.
We made our own way to the restraunt, we was greeted by around 3/4 members of the team who looked at us in disgust.
One asked, 'are you after the carvery' we replied 'yes'.
Her response was 'its not open for 30/45mins youll have to go to the bar'
We made our way around to the bar, we waited a further 20mins for a member of staff to come around to the area and serve us.
A couple also walked in after 20mins and went to find a member of staff otherwise we would of waited there until someone decided they wanted to serve us.
The experience was terrible at this point and we contemplated leaving to go to Toby Cavery in Lytham St Anne's which we go most weeks and the service is always fantastic in there.
We got served for drinks, the lady said do you want unlimited refills or a bottle, we decided on unlimited refills, she passed my Wife two glasses and expected us to know the machine was back in the restraunt area.
The Cavery time had come, we was sat out of the way in a very dark part of the restraunt, bare in mind there was nobody in the restraunt at this time.
I requested for us to be moved which the waitress huffed at us and eventually moved us.
We wasnt explained that you don't pay upfront and we was left to it.
We went upto the Cavery as the meats and veg was left out, stood there for another 10mins, nobody came.
I had to knock on the kitchen door and ask a Chef to come and serve us.
While we was eating a number of queues built up waiting to be served and customers having the same experience over and over again. Having to knock on the kitchen to be served.
When we come to pay, the waitress never asked 'how was your food' just passed us the bill.
Honestly this is the worse managed Cavery in the North West.
I almost requested to speak to the Management but realised that it would probably fall on deaf ears so we left in a hurry.
We saw advertisement at the front of the reception for Weddings and my Wife turned to me and said can you imagine having a event in there!
I would like the Management to contact me to explain why the service was so poor.
The only positive was the look of the building and the interior.

Very quiet on a Monday lunchtime, we were sat in a room with no other diners.Only saw a waitress with the drinks, after that there was no contact.

Came to the restaurant last night with my husband and daughter, food was excellent, our waitress was amazing didn't catch her name(Brown hair, she was wearing glasses) she took the time to answer some of our questions even though it was a little busy
