Called in spare of the moment asked if we booked we hadn't, tables all say reserved but place was not busy at all. Food was Luke warm served on cold plates , 1 meal was missing it's side order, 3 of the 4 meals came out we had to go enquire where the other meal was. Was told it would be a few minutes so clearly forgot so 3 meals were mostly eaten before the last came out. Not good don't expect 5 star food but could get better at a greasy spoon cafe.

Went for an evening meal with family, the service we got was friendly and food was lovely. Vegetarian option was better than I thought, would like to see a little more options but all and all, the family enjoyed themselves

Cheap but certainly not cheerful. Friday lunchtime. Very sullen waitress when we asked for cutlery after meal was delivered. Long hair which surely should be tied back. Very busy but three ladies taking up two tables, with big bags of books, wool etc. one with colouring book and crayons, one knitting and one crocheting. Very weird. Never been before will not go again.

The food was good. Bar staff was awful, served me a pint that was clearly off, and was not fit for consumption, and then was not happy when I refused it. Do not recommend it and will not be going back.

Awful steak which I sent back. It was refunded without question, guess they knew it wasn't good. Service was so so slow. Won't be going back.

My partner and I visited the restaurant last night. We were not impressed by the service by the staff. One of the waitresses brought our drinks over it was spilt on my leg, they brought a replacement but didn’t say sorry.I enjoyed the salad I ordered however I originally asked for salmon as an extra but was told that it wasn’t available for I asked for halloumi instead. My partner ordered a mixed grill but the steak was overcooked and wasn’t edible.

Haven't been here in years we went for a birthday meal for a friend and 2 of our meals were alright but the mixed grill wasn't great, all the food on it was burnt and didn't expect the small portion of it

We went for lunch with our three kids and asked if there was room for us in the play area. We were told yes as a party was leaving and told we could take their table. I paid and then when we went to the table we were told we couldn’t sit there. 5 people then had a 2 person table which we could not eat at. Afterwards the party table was given to two other groups that were not ‘the party’ and we were ignored when we tried to ask why. I would not recommend for the poor customer service.

Went on NYD for a family meal, food was well below the usual standard, sent the ribs back because 90% of what came off the bone was tough, fatty, and grey. Second serving came out just as bad I'd given up by this point. Hopefully next time the food will be back to the usual standard.

This was a spur of the moment stop on the way home from Skegness to Cambridge and I am so glad we did! The staff were so welcoming, polite and genuinely nice people. The food was decently priced and came out in good time. The first place in a long time that peas were properly cooked and not just vaguely warm, mini projectiles and the gammon had the perfect level of saltiness and you could properly taste the gammon. It was beautiful. The egg was cooked to perfection too. My wife had two side orders instead of a main and there was enough to make a main. My daughter said her buttermilk chicken burger was amazing (very high accolade from her!). When pudding came, even our child with ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) polished off his ice cream. The lack of toppings for the Build Your Own Sundae was a little disappointing, but they can’t provide what they don’t have. Overall, a very enjoyable spur of the moment pit stop!
