Nothing open apart from wonder lab and old cameras. What did they refurb and spend money on??. Don't take kids expecting yo see new stuff.

Disappointing. We hit the timing poorly given a refurbishment or changing of exhibits, but were still surprised by how very little remained open to see for free when we were there - just the one room Wonderlab and the photography exhibit by Kodak. The Wonderlab had good interactive exhibits but not tons of information about the science behind them. The photography exhibit truly was interesting about the history of photography, cameras, and societal impacts - and the only reason I've given this museum more than one star. Facilities: they have a cafe, gift shop, and clean toilets onsite. We skipped the IMAX so can't comment on it.

Great place to visit with kids. It keeps changing every term. So., it is not boring to go there again and again. It is free too. Also, there is a cinema. Enjoyed every time

Lots of areas closed for refurbishment and too many people allowed to walk om without booking meaning massive queues.

Great experience. Staff were friendly and nice. Visited today. Free entry. don’t think you need to book tickets in advance.

Hockney's Pieced Together is an interesting exhibition, giving insight into his photographic work. Wonderlab is great fun, especially for children.

Spectacular for younger schoolchildren. Very varied, interactive displays and wonderful films in the cinemas, notably IMAX.

I Have to be honest, we were really disappointed by our trip here. I used to regularly go to the media museum as a child/teenager in the 2000s/2010s and loved it, and I was so looking forward to going again. We were only there for about 45 minutes and there were only 2 rooms available to look round. I know refurbishments are taking place however I feel the museum shouldn’t have been reopened yet as there is nothing to do for more than about an hour.

Disappointing. Quite a few of the exhibitions aren't open yet since the refurbishment. This should be made clearer on the website. Had we known, we would have delayed our visit. The building is impressive and the museum should be great once everything is open. The cafe serves a good selection of food. The Imax cinema was a highlight of the trip.

In its current form there's not really that much there to see that's, except the exhibition on the history of cameras and the Wrong Trousers

Great museum, currently only part open after refurbishment but what's open is really interesting, especially the interactive displays. It's free but you can book online for quicker entry.

Unfortunately, a lot of exhibitions were under maintenance. Nonetheless, I got to see the temporary one about David Hockney: Pieced Together
