Food Is lovely! Tracey is the loveliest waitress she is so efficient and authentic and Eleanor makes the best poached eggs ever!!! The receptionists are also really welcoming and warm and we had a great laugh with the one with a European accent sorry I didn’t catch her name!

Stayed here for a wedding with a big group staff were very helpful and attentive got checked in quickly. Rooms were clean and breakfast was lovely very good customer service too.

Unfortunately premier inn has let this hotel to deteriate,from the outside all the paint work is falling off and looks very tired almost to the point I thought I had turned up to a hotel that had been closed, the room itself was marginally better but had mould around the window, carpet looking very tired, however the worst bit was the bathroom! The smell was horrendous, it smelt of old wet mops! We had to keep the door closed with the extractor fan running so the smell didn't filter into the bedroom.There is no toilet brush, the soap dispenser bottle was dirty and looked rusty as it was a refillable bottle. It's a real shame premier inn has let this hotel go to ruins, on the plus side it's location was perfect and the staff were pleasant. Thanks to the lady on reception on checking out as she offered us a free breakfast and explained the problem with the bathroom ventilation, however we declined the breakfast as hygiene didn't seem the best. A full refund would of been more acceptable, so if you're planning a nice night away I highly recommend you give this hotel a miss.

Lovey little hotel of the side of an A road. Cheaper than its competition literally less than 100m away. Good clean room and nice receptionist on the desk. Would stay here again. Cheap hotel room.

An absolute health hazard is the only way I can describe this hotel. We booked to stay from Christmas Eve for 5 nights whilst visiting family for Christmas... We didn't even stay. We got to our room and from the second we got into the room, we knew immediately we could not stay in this room. Black mold everywhere, grease and holes all over the net the curtain, shower was covered in rust and mold, sink countertop was filthy and the heater was covered in rust and wouldn't turn off so we walked into a room that was just engulfed with the smell of burning metal. We went to reception and were given a second room... This one was worse. Black mold all around the window and along the shower curtain, build up all around the shower and sealant and the taps were covered in blue rust. The heater was also the same as the first room. We decided there and then we needed to get a refund and leave. The receptionist couldn't refund us and told us we had to contact gust services after Christmas. She ended up altering our stay from 5 nights to 4 so that money would at least come back and we'll have to deal with getting the rest back for the 5th night when they're open again. I have disabilities and health conditions that this room would have caused massive issues with, to the point I could have ended up in hospital if I had not noticed anything. Completely ruined our Christmas eve. We ended up at the Holiday Inn nearby and thank god for them! Super clean room which is twice the size of the ones at this place, wonderful service (we were given chocolates, minced pies and hot chocolate on arrival) free breakfast (which is delicious and lots of options including gluten free!), bar is open until midnight and they have looked after us! So if you're looking for a hotel in this area, go there instead! Avoid this Premier Inn like the plague, mainly because you will probably catch the plague of you stay here!

I had a 3 night stay here in room 217. This room was a part of a family room as it has a door to connect to room 216. My first night was good, room was nice and the room only had a shower which i did not mind. The work man ship in the bathroom regarding tiling and silicone is poor. This premier inn does not have self service breakfast, you have to order your breakfast and you have to be seated. Never the less the breakfast was really good. My second and 3rd night was good up until around 10pm for some reason they let someone stay in room 216 which is the connecting room and i could hear all the conversations for a while. The 3rd night was wirse with it being a friday night alot of giggling and banging about both nights for about 40mins. Not the premier inns fault they let the room out to inconciderate and disrespectful people but it is there fault for placing them next to me. On saturday morning breakfast is not while 7am. I did not know this. So i went across the road to Mcdonalds instead. Overall a 3 star. Even tho breakfast was nice i like to pick my own, instead of waiting 15mins. Freshly cooked and was lush but i needed to go to work. Placing me in a family room and then letting the room next to me out i did not appreciate. I could have understood if the place was fully booked but it was not. Really nice staff who work here. Made me feel very welcome.

Location great for event in Braintree ,room clean, didn't try breakfast,was too tired to eat but lots of eateries, near outlet in the village. The customer service lady Gemma was fantastic, she went over and beyond. Nothing is too small a query or job and doesn't give up easily without finding a solution. She was able to extend my stay by one night which was great and even helped my with my luggage up the stairs. All done with a warm smile 😃

Room is basic but does the job and is clean, can’t beat the price for what you pay. Breakfast has everything you need, service is great. The employees are lovely, very friendly and chatty and gave us a goody bag of croissants for our journey home! - thank you Tracey for your hospitality!! Location is good , right by loads of drive throughs and has a lovely garden centre next door. Perfect for a traveling stop. From the grandparents and grand children.

Booked as we were going to shopping village. After horrendous journey we arrived after 8pm. Colleen was so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble even telling us where restaurant was and there closing times allowing us to take cases to room first. We booked on app to return in January 2025. Spoke to Colleen as we would like same 2 rooms on return who went onto site and requested them for us. Such a lovely lady a credit to company.

Great find. Room was spotless which is a great win for me! Rest of the hotel was nice and clean too. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Highlight was breakfast! 5 star all the way. Couldn’t think of a better way to start my day, will certainly be back soon! Thanks for a lovely stay!

The standout part of my stay was the exceptional service provided by Rose. She was incredibly accommodating and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Premier Inn is very lucky to have a member of staff like her. While the room was clean and well-maintained, it was clear that it was dated and in need of an upgrade to come in line with the newer Premier Inns. The decor felt a bit tired, some of the furnishings could use refreshing and there is no air conditioning in the rooms. However, the bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep.

It is the staff that make this hotel worth a visit, and in my case, a return visit. I would like to name them all because they all add something special and clearly work hard. An older style building, no Plus rooms but if service with a smile and the extra mile is important to you then this is a Premier Inn to book.

Having had an emergency, me and my friends have been really impressed by the kindness and caring attitude of the staff, especially at the reception. They made us feel supported and welcome. I can not be more grateful. in the hotel, the lobby and the facilities are spotless.And They also have a lovely selection of teas and coffee. A good little hotel from premier inn that has to be recommended.

Great for Stansted Airport Free parking. Not as modern as other hotels I've stayed in. Staff good. Room was cold, shower cold and toilet didn't flush. They did listen to my complaints.

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst I was training. Its a Premier Inn so it does what it says on the tin. Everything you need is in the room. But the reason for my review is the excellent staff here. The Chef's, the ladies serving and the reception staff are brilliant! I wanted to mention in particular Ros Young that was here on 2 of the 4 nights, she was helpful, professional, polite but most of all did it all with a smile. It's a premier Inn...no surprises clean room, hot shower, which was all but impossible to turn off, but I did alert reception to the issue. Breakfast was great, as was the coffee. It served our purpose. Its not a holiday hotel of course but you know what you get for the money.
