Don't usually leave a review...but the roast was so bad not even a slice of meat was given from the beef and gammon that i asked for...no taste to the vegetables...Shame as I come here for breakfast most weeks but fancied a change...Never again.Very over priced lunch for what it was ☹️

Place was very quiet so served straight away. Went to carvery counter to get our meal and was asked what meat I would like. I asked for 3 choices of meat and was horrified to only be given the corner of the meats. When I mentioned this the chef said we are only allowed to give you 160grams. The vegetables didn't look appetising at all. When I was stood looking at it I mentioned to my sister that it was really poor and chef said leave if you don't like it. I really wished I had as the meal was not good. Little meat rubbery Yorkshire and luke warm veg. I would never recommend this place and I wish I had complained and got my money back. Definitely would not recommend this place.

I was very disappointed in the beef that I was offered. I can only describe it as a slice of fat. When I queried it ,the attitude of the guy doing the carving was. like it or lump it.
I then had lamb even tho'my first choice was beef. The waiter offered to get me some decent meat but I had the lamb by then so I declined his offer.
It was the attitude of the guy doing the carving which was so disappointing. Usually the staff are so accommodating. They really try their best for you.

Friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere, but the food was very ordinary. Chewy beef and leathery yorkshires. Veges were nicely cooked, though. Toilets - I can never understand why the cubicles in so many restaurants are so small. It's very hard to close the door once you are inside.

The carvery was up to its usual standard with a Toby. But the service was very good. One of our party has a mushroom allergy. The manageress came and had a chat, with info of what not to eat at the carvery. Thank you for looking after us.

Went here tonight approx 5pm 1/2/25 to order a king size carvery takeaway, as per usual for this particular Toby, staff we’re in no rush to serve with 4 of them stood chatting, when two members of staff ( one training I assume) arrived at the bar to serve me I was told I could not takeaway a king size meal as their box’s were not big enough so I had to order a standard as a result I no longer ordered two meats as had been my intention with the king size, also as per usual vegetable choice was poor, I seldom visit this Toby as it is due to the staff attitude, they always seem miserable and need a lesson in customer service I will not return again.

Just because it's an all round 4 does not make it a bad thing. Really felt looked after and enjoyed my meal. Had a locals feel despite a chain and felt relaxed and satisfied.
