If you love churches in any way, this is a must visit It was designed by Sara Losh and finished in 1842. It is notable as the earliest known example in Britain of a revival of Lombard architecture. There are so many wonderful things to see in this church it will require a 2nd visit. Parking is on a quiet road and the church is usually open daylight hours.

A small church with so much to see, go in walk round then pick up the guide and go round again. So many lovely things to see, and context makes it excellent. (I'm not a Christian but enjoyed visiting very much.). Donation invited, including by card. No WC. Plenty of parking on street.

St Mary's Church, Wreay is in the top 10 churches to be visited in England. The pictures don't do it justice. I will definitely revisit and spend more time in this sacred space.

I had read about this church in Simon Jenkins aenglands 1000 best churches and seen it was 4*, but in reality it was even better than I had imagined. The whole atmosphere was about nature and was so peaceful. Everyone should visit it.
