Traditionelles britisches Landgasthaus erleben

Historisches Gasthaus in Chesterfield besuchen

Lovely cosy atmosphere in the main bar but our room was cold. Overall food was good but aspects of it wasn't. Service for drinks was ok but the food took a long time to arrive and the waitress kept forgetting the soup spoon. Polite enough but not particularly friendly. Overall.... Ok

Party of 9 of us for Sunday carvery. Food and service were both good. The only thing that let's this place down is the muddy car park if the weather hasn't been too great

Visited the Hardwick Inn on Sunday 02 03 2025 with my friend booked for Sunday Lunch excellent experience from start to finish staff made us very welcome food spot on well done chef/ Chefs . I was talking to a guy who I thought was the team leader but in actual fact he owns the Inn which just goes to show never judge a book by the cover he was greeting everyone on arrival . As were other members of staff. If you've never visited would highly recommend you pay a visit you won't be dissapointed . There is a carvery which is great no queuing your given a token were its your turn to go up and get your Lunch this is a brilliant idea . My friend and I have been to several carverys were the queuing is ridiculous people getting aggetated having to wait in a long queue. Organisation pays every time. Forgot to mention at the beginning of this post its also table service so even better well done to staff at the Hardwick Inn we will be back. Thank you once again.

I came for lunch on Friday for the first time and can’t stop thinking about the pulled pork ciabatta- seriously the best I’ve had! Great service, reasonably priced and the location is beautiful. Highly recommend

Enjoyed an afternoon tea here. The place is lovely. Enjoyed the food but too much cake included. But managed to take some home. Would have liked a choice of sandwiches too as they were set given and neither of us eat prawns.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Alnwick. Booked a table & glad we did as it was very busy on a Friday in early February. Great for dogs, food was very nice & good service. Lovely stop with the national trust entrance right outside. Would love to visit again in the finer weather.

Food was well cooked and specials were excellent but portions are far too large. Hate wasting food ate all the starter which was 3 venison croquettes but 2 would have been better therefore left most of my main. Next time will have to order 2 starters but value for money exceptional

Food was good but unfortunately the majority of the waitresses weren't over friendly and came across as they just didn't want to be there.

The only reason I marked atmosphere down was because we were there shortly after normal lunch time during Storm Eowyn when it was quite quiet. I loved the place, the cask ale was excellent and the Ploughman's lunch was superb - so big we shared it. Chips were also served with it, not shown on the photo !!
