We called in having tried a couple of other nearby places whose kitchen had closed. A thank you for offering food into the late afternoon. Delighted by the range of the menu. The presentation was consistent with food shown in other reviews, tasty, wholesome and good value. Sadly we probably won't be able to come back as we were halfway through a 15 hour journey but I'd definitely recommend for anyone else considering calling in. Thank you to The Bull Team.

I don't understand how this place has good reviews.
£20 a plate for tough beef, boiled chicken and chewy potatoes.
Have genuinely had better roasts at a garden centre

We sat by the log fire and soaked up the atmosphere of the flagstone bar. I have been coming here for decades and still love it. The food was very good, venison is back on the menu.

A real gem on a pub. You can order anything from the menu and it'll be fabulous. The specials are also incredible and lovely warm welcoming staff.

Thanks to the team at The Bull for our family lunch today. Food was excellent, the service from the team was very attentive. We enjoyed the mussel chowder, winter salad, burger, pork belly, faggots, cookie dough desert and chocolate mousse. Apparently we failed to choose the best dessert - lemon bavarois. Dog friendly - we had our two dogs on a lead under the table.
