Booked last week to go tonight for Sunday lunch. We were looking forward to going for dinner. Pub was busy when we arrived, the sign outside said to head to the bar for drinks and to find out where you are sitting if you had booked. We headed to the busy bar, waited a few mins for the barman to say if you want serving you need to come round the front. We managed to ask a waiter and he showed us straight to our table. We ordered a couple of drinks then looked at the menus. About 15 mins went by and drinks didn't arrive, a different waitress came over and asked if we wanted to order drinks so we ordered them again after explaining we had ordered them once. She also too our food order. Drinks arrived about 15 mins later. We ordered fish cake and a deep fried brie for starters. When the starters arrived I cut in to the brie and it was cold. My partner had finished his starter by the time we got the attention of the waitress, I told her it was cold and she apologised and took it away. She brought another brie out about 15mins later, although it was warmer than the first it still wasn't hot/melted enough in the middle but I ate it anyway. Good job really as no one came to check if it was ok and she didn't even ask when she came to collect the plate if it had been ok. The mains came and these were ok apart from the roast beef that was advertised on the menu as served pink definitely not being pink. Didn't bother with desserts so can't comment on them. We won't be rushing back.

Called in for lunch with our little dog to see how it went, Black russian terrier...He made quite entrance and was welcomed with a bowl of water and a plate of doggy treats.. Never seen anything so welcoming and ourselves as well. We ordered our food and sat as most folk made a fuss of Balloo and a lovely couple sat to our side, the dog being the centre of attention. The staff were impeccable and just great and credit to the company ethos of being friendly, polite, accommodating and very professional. The place was a pleasure to visit, high standards everywhere you looked and again to all staff to offer such a high class pub. The food was slightly on the dear side being honest, and not fantastic but just ok food , ( sausage and mash, sausage skins were very tough!!!) did expect better for the price mark, but made up for in service and overall the quality of the place. A great choice we made to call there, will call back soon, Balloo loved the attention and appreciated his treats, a great place to dine out and have a dog with you if out walking etc. Baloo is a very large dog and only a pup at 19 month old they welcomed him in without hesitation, he was well behaved as were all other dogs we saw in there, staff were super attentive to humans and canines alike, It was worth a 40mile round trip to visit such a lovely place. Be back soon! p.s. balloo is the black dog in the pics!

All of the food was excellent however we felt the fish cakes were not the best value as a main course it felt more like a starter or a 'small bites'. Just needed something else on the plate to make it a full meal.

My friend and I had the soup starter (very tasty and the sourdough bread was delicious, wish I knew where you purchased the bread, nicest sourdough I have had in a while, ribeye steak (wow!!!, seasoned and cooked to perfection) along with all accompaniments to the steak was delightful! Finished off with a cappuccino and small dessert of sticky toffee pudding and Cheshire farm ice cream sat on a chocolate crunch, again just pure perfection! Can't wait to return, and service was spot on too! Can see why it's such a popular spot! Thank you team Aspinall Arms!

Best beer garden EVER! Found a table for us to grab some food. Other local pub couldn't fit us in but there's was 20 empty tables with reserved signs...terrible way to run a pub restaurant

Went for valentine's lunch, didn't book but still found us a table. The food is very good and they had a great selection of ales. We are definitely coming back!!!

Set in a scenic location, with a pleasant drive to reach through an area recognised as the inspiration for Tolkeins Hobbit's Shire. The service was excellent, friendly, quick with nice main and dessert and plenty of it. There is a reasonable number of parking spaces, looked to be about 20 - 30. Sat next to a roaring fire which was also kept well fed with logs by attentive waiter. Another Brunning & Price pub, so their vouchers can be collected.

We had a korean chicken burger / cheese pie for mains and sticky toffee / blackberry and apple sponge for dessert. It was amazing, the best food we have eaten out this year.

Uninspiring menu and questionable portions. Rude and unhelpful staff. Waited 45 mins for menus, and another 50 minutes for food to arrive. Food lacking much flavour, won't be returning.

Set in the countryside near Clitheroe this is a haven for ramblers and passing travellers especially if you have your dog/s with you.

We been twice now, and it's a special pub. Beautiful setting, sophisticated interior that also feels warm and welcoming. The plentiful staff are attentive and friendly. The food was excellent both times, most recently we had two course meals for three people; highlights were the Korean Fried Broccoli and the Crispy Beef Salad, the gyoza and Fried Chicken burger were slightly less dazzling but still excellent. Cracking 3 mile circular walk along and around the river Ribble beforehand worked up a good appetite and the boot wash outside was a great idea.

It's fair to say we don't go out much nowadays with the cost of dining/drinking out being much higher than it was, but this was one of the best Sunday roasts we've had in a long time. Absolutely delicious! Everything cooked well and it was incredibly tasty. Service and atmosphere was great too. Quite surprised we were able to book a table last minute. Definitely recommended.
