First time here, thought it might be packed out because the weather was so nice, but there was plenty of outside seating and we sat inside. The food was tasty huge portions, 2 of our party had the Sunday roast lite meal which we couldn’t eat all of it.
Our Waiter was Kris 5* efficient and polite!
We certainly will return!

Excellent food. The pub was really nice and clean toilets immaculate. Service was fine. Quality and price stood out for me.

Kris was very attentive to our table. Kris provided excellent customer service too our table throughout our meal. From ordering our drinks to taking our meal choices and inquring and checking for any allergies on our table. After the food arrived Kris checked we had everything we needed sauce wise ir if we needed any extra drinks. When we were finished our 1st course the plates where cleared he offered us dessert menus. As we were full we declined. Kris then proceeded to get our bill and took payment. Our vist to The Princess Charlotte in Colchester was lovely experience, and the food was great. Thank you to Kris for looking after us.

Fined £100 for using their car park when visiting the vets with my sick pet. Was parked in their car park for 30 mins at midday on a Thursday. Absolutely disgusting business, making money off people in a time of distress. Avoid at all costs!

We regularly come to the Princess Charlotte but not anymore . After reviving a £100 fine to park in January when we went to Nando’s we told Nando’s and they said it was fine as the other car park was full and a member of staff in the princess Charlotte also said it was ok as explained I had just had major surgery and if there was an issue they would retract it . Clearly not the case as we have been told that they need evidence of eating in there . We did everything right to ensure we wouldn’t fall foul and untrained staff mis informed us . Well we will be going elsewhere for our family meals in future so you will loose more than your £100 fine which incidentally only arrived today after being issued on the 3/2 . This is not good service and Euro car parks are nothing but dire you cannot speak to them and no one will help you . No one has this sort of money to throw away your tactics are awful . I would have been happy if I had not of checked prior but to have asked and told it was fine is not acceptable we have been well and truly deceived .

Decided to take my son out for lunch and I couldn't fault anything. Staff super friendly & helpful, service was fast, food was gorgeous, a good size and adaptable. Loved it

My partner and I visited today and sat in the new area. The vibe of this area is lovely and comfortable to sit in. We were served by Kris. The service from him was amazing! Lovely and chatty and made us feel very welcome. A credit to your team :)

Our food was freezing cold, told the waitress said she's tell manager. So left most of it, no discount on dessert though. Both my friend and I had different meals both cold.

Disappointed that I complained about the ice cream did taste great it was 2.45 asked them to take it back as it was in a cone and didn’t want it to melt everywhere. Still got charged for it though . Little bit disappointing. Would like to know what company procedure is on complaints . But waitress was pleasant and the main was good enough .
