This is my local pub and every time I've been the service has been appalling and the food even worse. 1st visit was Sunday lunch - frozen in the middle. Next we thought we would try a Saturday. Hunters chicken and chips! The chips were so over cooked there was literally nothing in the middle! They were crusty tubes! And for the price you literally got nothing else, no side salad or vegetables. About a year later we thought we would try again. I had fish finger sandwich - my mother in law had the same. No fish in the fishfingers- they were batter fingers! My sister in law had ham egg and chips and the egg was like rubber. We had to send back 3 of the 4 meals. Tried a final time with my friend for lunch and whilst the food was about mediocre the service was appalling! We waited almost an hour for a coffee! I will never go back! Bearing in mind this is not a cheap place to eat with meals costing around £18 and a bottle of prosecco £28! It is expensive and awful! It's such a shame as we live in walking distance and is the only pub we can walk to.

Never had a Sunday lunch like it! Was terrible frozen rubbery roasties frozen Yorkshire pudding and vegetable would never have a Sunday lunch again other food looked good though off the menu, lovely place lovely staff

Lovely staff, paint falling off in places (showing its age) I would share with you that in my view the food and drink (whilst tasty) was on the expensive side and poor overall value for money.

Served by Rachael, who was excellent, very efficient and friendly. A member of our party has allergies and she was incredibly helpful. Food by Jack and Jake was lovely and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

It’s a long time since I’ve been here due to the food not being good in the past. However, tonight the food was fantastic (Jack and Jake the chefs) and the service by Rachael was the best I’ve had anywhere for a very long time.
I was very impressed by everything which made a lovely dining experience.

Food good quality, tasted lovely and service superb however not hot enough for us but they were changed without issue and came back warmer.
