Couldn't believe they don't accept the kings British cash....very disappointed. Couldn't buy a drink because I only had cash, quite disgusted. Beautiful theatre but needs alot of work doing as looks very tatty...its a shame. Would definitely go again but would take my own drink as I don't believe in not being able to not use cash

Beautiful theatre with some good shows. Only downside which is the same at many theatres and stadiums is the price of the drinks, £25 for a bottle of wine is incredibly steep but appreciate the cost of the upkeep of such a nice building.

Had a fun packed evening in a fabulous looking building. Staff were really helpful and efficient. Nice licensed bar for refreshments before the show and we were able to pre-order the drinks for the intermission. Performance was great and very funny. We were sat upstairs in the stalls and it was really cramped - this was the only downside of an enjoyable evening.

Love this venue been lots of times to see different music and comedy acts dropped a star because parking is across the otherside of the bridge and the toilets are slightly obstructed by the bar

Looks imposing and old from the outside (opened in 1911) but inside, in the public areas it's modern and very well laid out. Bars and toilets on all floors, with adequate seating. Wide stairs and helpful staff to point you to your seat. Parking nearby in the market place car park which is free after 4.30pm every day and free all day Sunday.

Although the theatre cast them selves are great unfortunately the building is very squashed inside. Not vert disability friendly even with a lift down stairs theres not much room round people and chairs. And the bar not accepting cash is horrendous when some people are only able to use cash for personal reasons.

Fantastic !! I've not been to a panto in 20-odd years and took my daughter. Really interactive for adults and it was entertaining throughout! So good. Thank you to the entertainers. Beauty and the beast was outstanding.

Took the grandkids to see beauty and the Beast the pantomime. It was excellent and very well presented, the 12 days of Christmas song was great and very entertaining the kids loved it, audience participation was brilliant and everyone came out smiling ! Only one small complaint would be the popcorn which was stale !

Really lovely traditional theatre that's trys it's hardest. There are some signs of wear and tear but still a fantastic building. Just love this theatre. So many fantastic and wide ranging shows. We have 3 more booked in this year ❤️😁

So you can't have a Newcastle Brown in the bottle, and who with any self respect would put it in a glass? But you can bring a glass glass from bar to theatre. ??????

Absolutely fab panto! Best ever! Quite a few innuendos. Over 2 hours of belly laughs is worth £25 in my book. Beware if you have kids bordering on understanding 😅
