This is just one of many parks which are situated in and around derby city centre, Darley park is spectacular in all seasons.

This park is a thing of beauty and has had many improvements over the years whether that be the new wooden paths created, Walters walkway, or the vegetation that has been cut back which makes access for the local earl of Harringtons fishing club alot easier. The cricket pavilion is still going strong and hosts a number of matches throughout the year as well as a couple of unique running events. If I'm not mistaken I've seen a few hairy helmets at this place! The cafe is just delightful and today I visited and had a bacon and sausage cob........my god talk about a bin lid or what, it was mahooosive and very yummy indeed. I totally recommend this place and it was packed all tables taken outside in the seating area. Just don't forget your cash pal, as cash will always be king and this caff knows it cash only son! Enjoyed an hours circular walk with the muts and wife and they love a quick dip in the river........dirty dogs 🐕 😀

Fabulous place. Great walks around beautiful nature. Lovely little ice-cream shop and separate cafe. I also discovered a yoga and pilates barn. Parking is a little unusual. It's not free and there is only one way out. Don't try to drive out the way you entered.

Make sure to visit the national hydrangea collection. Just Ice is also here. It's worth visiting when they are open for great coffee and ice cream etc.

Lots of places to roam around in lovely tree lined open spaces - playgrounds - toilets - cafe and ice cream place too. The open spaces appeared clear of usual dog mess with lots of bins for waste. Some nice walks under the different trees and open spaces for ball games. Cafe sells hot and cold food plus drinks with a good sized sitting area outside - parking at busy times difficult and surrounding street parking cintrollled by residents only pass but there are a few areas limited to two hour stays

Always interesting and with a variety of walking options to include the old industrial village, the mills, the river, the more modern elements of the village and all so close to Derby. Lovely 🙂
