The Peacock At Barlow is an incredible place to spend a couple of nights, the rooms are spotless and spacious. The staff provide excellent service both morning and night and the kitchen match this with superb food, I’ll be back soon!

Stopped in for a business meal with colleagues. Perfect location, parking no problem, nice restaurant with good views, and a really nice meal and friendly service.

The pub is in a great spot and was packed for Sunday lunch. The service from the mainly fairly young team was really good - whoever is recruiting and training them needs to take a bow. The Sunday roast was ok but definitely in the quantity over quality category, and expensive at £22+. Mind you, if you can charge £22 for ok and still be packed then fair play I guess.

As for the food..exceptional and the service was spot on. First time there, I ordered fish and chips and my wife ordered sea bass
Was hot, right and on the table within 15 minutes of ordering
Absolutely flabbergasted as service here is NOWHERE near that

Stayed here for 4 nights in the Sycamore Cottage which was warm, cosy and presented really well. The food here is excellent, had breakfast here every morning and dinner every night. The Staff are very accommodating, helpful and friendly. It’s really nice to see an Independant business clearly putting in a huge amount of effort to make themselves stand out. I would love to stay here again.

Stopped after a walk in the peak district, so glad we came across it. Environment is so welcoming and warm. Very cosy and food was amazing. Even better that dogs are allowed. Definitely will return!

The venue is great and the staff are helpful. Our food was average at best, I nearly sent my over done burger back 😞 but we'd waited long enough and the venue wasn't busy.

Wow !! What a Christmas Day lunch !! Literally the best ever lunch out … we have been to many hotels over the years but none have provided the wonderful welcome, huge spread, delicious and inventive meals ..and the attention to details was impeccable! We can’t Thankyou enough for such a special Christmas ❤️❤️

Went for a meal earlier and it was bangin !
I'm leaving a review because it's New Year's Day, they were so busy when we got there but they never turn anyone away. We waited around 20 minutes for a table, we got a drink at the bar and my little one was entertained with colouring with the crayons they provided. The staff are always really lovely and helpful. The real treat is the food ! I had the veggie sausages with garlicky mash and onion gravy and roasted carrots. The portion was generous but I also ordered a side of Yorkshire pud and greens which was a good choice, the kale and green beans were so vibrant and fresh and complimented the dish perfectly. My partner had fish and chips, which he said was the best fish and chips he'd had in ages. The fish was flaky and the batter was light and crispy. The curry sauce is recommended but you have to pay a bit extra, but definitely worth it, you could also sub the peas if you're not a fan. Chef kiss *** Thank you and happy new year to you all !
