This is a great space for families for a picnic and fun and games in the summer. There is a small play park which is appealing to children. There is also a well established cafe where you can enjoy drinks, snacks and ice creams.
This is a great starting point for walkers ... and dogs... who can walk along the river to the monuments at the Magna Carta Memorial and also enjoy drinks and snacks at the National Trust tea rooms. Worth a visit and you will return again and again.

You used to be able to drive in for a break and spend a few minutes watching the brown water go by. Keeping an eye out for that horrible person with his book and evil eye spotting an unpaying miscreant. Not anymore. They clock you in and out with a camera. No, it doesn't matter if it's completely empty or you're going to the cafe. Pay up or be damned.
