Spent the afternoon in Hatfield House Park and Gardens with the kids in the half term. The grounds are so beautiful. We took the truck ride that had a super guide named Dermot, who was very knowledgeable and was generally lovely. Stunning views of the river Lea from an old bridge. Looking forward to coming back to see the daffodils in full bloom, and a tour of the old palace.

Attended a wedding. The hall was freezing no heating and I am sure not cheap to hire for a wedding function.Breakfast and lunch served in the dining hall also cold no heating.Very very disappointed. The food was great.Presumably outside caterers. The whole place is beautiful.Henry the 8th believe made it as a nursery and teaching for her daughters and stayed at Hatfield. during the plague in London.Toilets were not up to standard or clean, and the hand drying heaters were slow and not hot.Maybe visit it in the summer maybe is plesent then. Will vist again. If you go for a wedding or some kind of reception etc during winter make sure you are well wrapped up.

If you are looking to escape reality then you must visit Hatfield house and parks, its a beautiful place for all the family to enjoy including dogs, and is the best day out enjoying nature and fresh air, we love visiting and the kids always have so much fun exploring

It's a beautiful wedding venue. What a way to start married life, in one of King Henry the VIII's palaces 💒💍🥂

We did the winter walk which was lovely - everything was naturally made to fit in with the woodland and using paths that already existed. We also paid for the workshop which although very sweet for my husband to do with my toddler was a waste of money for us - the glue wasn't very good so the snowman we made is in pieces. Need to think of a way to avoid use of glue for joins if they're too host this next year. Will definitely be back, might get the season ticket for off peak months looks a great place to walk the dog. Also lovely shops that are free to visit - we've been in the past to just go to the shops/cafe

I have been going to Hatfield Park for years, we went there as children and have lots of lovely memories of running around freely, I remember the original Queen Elizabeth Oak tree which isn't there anymore The grounds are beautiful any time of the year there are some lovely walks marked out for different walking abilities The House and Gardens are definitely worth visiting especially in the summer when the garden is at it's best

Pricey admission for 2 families together and the house/palace itself was closed. Beautiful location and kids enjoyed it

Historical Hatfield house and grounds is a very interesting place to visit and the grounds are extensive. The restaurant offers a very limited menu of disappointing food.
