What an absolute gem The Plough Inn is! Led by the very helpful and hospitable, Vincent, I highly recommend a meal and/or a stay here. The pub food is very well presented and extremely tasty. The stylish bedrooms, located above the pub, are very well furnished and cosy for an overnight stay. The pub is completely dog friendly throughout and Vincent was exceptionally kind to our pup. Thanks, Vincent, for your excellent hospitality.

The Sunday roast is about as good as a roast can be, all the sides were perfection and the meat was excellent. The sticky toffee pudding was outstanding. We were in the gin pantry for a large group, a really lovely space and the service was incredible. Special thanks to Trudy! Couldn’t recommend more highly

Incredible place. It is a bit hard to reach, but once you do the place is gorgeous. In the middle of the UK countryside, an amazing characteristic inn. Perfect vibes if you are looking for a relaxing retreat. The host is super friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are definitely above expectations. The entire booking process was smooth and the stay was impeccable. Highly recommended

A happy visit We were made very welcome by Vincent on our arrival. Both he and Trudy were attentive helpful and fun. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable, clean, and very adequate. The food was good, breakfast was more than sufficient and very enjoyable. Our only disappointment was with one evening meal. We chose steak frites. The steak was delicious, very tender, and the fries were crisp. However, we were disappointed that there were no veg, e.g. peas, tomatoes, or mushrooms. For the price, we would have expected a little more on the plate. The steak pie was very good indeed! It was very cold weather while we were there and we did find the ill-fitting windows rather drafty but given that the property is very old it was understandable. We would certainly love to return for a second visit and have no hesitation in recommending this delightful pub.

The Plough is an absolute treasure! From its stunning atmosphere to the cosy, comfortable rooms, every detail is thoughtfully designed to make you feel at ease. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure we felt right at home. The food and drinks were nothing short of exceptional — a true delight for the senses. To top it all off, the village is utterly charming, making the entire weekend absolutely fabulous. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

We stayed at the Plough two nights over the Christmas period and rented two rooms. After travelling from France it was lovely to receive such a warm welcome from Vincent; he couldn't have been more helpful or courteous. The rooms were very clean , nicely finished and the food was excellent, the pub is also super dog friendly which was a blessing considering we had our two labs with us! A beautiful spot close to Burford , we shall definitely be back!

We've been to the Plough twice for lunch, 2nd time for Sunday roast and it was well worth the effort. Large portions, good food in a cozy Cotswold pub atmosphere. Also dog friendly. Friendly atmosphere, hughly recommended.

The Plough is an excellent pub with rooms. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, spotlessly clean. The dining room is full of character. The menu is relatively small and simple, but of high quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Overall a amazing stay, we did request a room with a bathtub which was approved and switched however when we arrived the room had already been filled with other guests so slightly disappointed by this, however the room we ended up in was exactly as photos show with no nasty surprises, very pleasant and modern, the best and most memorable part of the stay was definitely the breakfast! Served by 2 lovely gentlemen who were friendly and happy to help and the food itself was delicious! This really made out stay feel like a luxury experience!

Very tasty roast with fab meat and Yorkshire pudding! Meal was on the warm side so not hot so don’t leave it to cool. Puddings quite small so no need to leave room for one. Service slow if sitting outside as often left forgotten about but very apologetic. Expensive location but quality food. All dogs welcome at this venue.

Okay stay for 2 nights, good food. Pub itself is beautiful and the food is excellent - dinner and breakfast. All staff are lovely. Unfortunately for the price, we felt a bit let down by our room and the housekeeping. The room was pretty, albeit a small, the shower was also quite small and tricky to move around in. The things we struggled with were that all of the pillows were a bit too thin, when we asked for extra (which we got) they were also small so didn't sleep well either night. We stayed for two nights and didn't get clean mugs/glasses, any extra tea bags, and milk etc, when you only get enough for one night you would hope to get a replenishment when staying longer for the price, (£280 for 2 nights with 2 mugs and 3 tea bags to last 2 nights). There was a fan in our room but it didn't look like it had ever been cleaned and had a full of thick dust which put us off using it, and we moved it away from us. My parents who were also staying had a bigger room for the same price and didn't have any issues. I would recommend this place for food, but for us, with the overall price, it didn't met our expectations to stay.

We go to the Plough regularly. The beers are always in top condition and the food is top quality and reasonably priced. The menu changes frequently too so there’s nearly always something interesting and tempting. Great community run pub!

Had a great night's stay at The Plough. Dinner was great, especially the rump cap, fries and Café De Paris butter. Breakfast was superb, pastries, yogurt, fruit compote and preserves available to help yourself. The cooked breakfast was fantastic, the produce used is very good, you can't tell no expense is spared with what they order. All the staff very friendly and will definitely return.

Lovely pretty pub in a beautiful village on the River walk loop from Buscot WIER. Food is very reasonably priced and there's plenty of garden seating.
