We popped in for Sunday lunch and managed to get a table with just over an hour time limit. However I understand that this is an exception rather than a rule so book first! However we knew what we wanted - Roast Beef! The food arrived promptly and we got one of the nicest Sunday lunches I have had in a long time. The gravy was 'proper gravy': thick and full of flavour. Plenty of veg too. The beef was nice and slightly pink. Would definitely recommend but pre-book first!

Was recommeded to me by a friend so tried it out and wasn't disappointed. Food was very good, cask ale was wonderful and service was excellent.

Historic pub (heritage listed) with decent food and an excellent range of beers including Timothy Taylor:s Landlord and good stouts.

Beef proceed 2 small hard potatoes green tiny amount mushy 2 small pieces carrot Yorkshire pudding best part that was nearly £17 still hungry me y company got the prkleft over half
