2025 review:
Still one of my favourite places to eat in the world. I've been coming here for a very long time and I still get treated so well by the staff who remember me. The meat came out so quickly and was so perfectly grilled - I'm salivating just thinking about it. Rice with barberry seeds is gorgeous. The interior has been the same classic Iranian feel for I think over 15 years.
If you come here to break your fast during Ramadan you'll be given dates and special treatment. There used to be a prayer area here too.
Prices have gone up like most places in London but still competitive for London and very generous portions. but no longer the student haven it was for me many moons ago.
This place will always have a special place in my heart.
2014 review:
I am a big fan of iranian food, and of all the restaurants I've visited this is by far my favourite. In fact at times I've visited 3times a week, even twice in one day. The service is impeccable as is the Iranian style, great manners, warm people and very hospitable.
The restaurant attracts a variety of people, families,young professionals, hungry students - ive been part of all these groups during my seven years in hammersmith.
But by far, what brings me back time and again is the food - Amazing portion sizes of the juiciest largest portions of meat. Every dish (ive tried them all) is delicately flavoured to suit all palates
I have to go now - my quick recommendations are:
1) Kashke Bademjan for starter - with their delicious nan
2) Chelo kabab koobideh
3) chelo kabab joojeh

Last night, my sister and I went to a restaurant and ordered delicious dishes, including ghorme Sabzi and tahchin. The food was served hot, and a young girl who was the waitress there served the food well and in a friendly manner, and gave us good service.

My wife and I came to the restaurant for food. I greeted us with a smile and the food was great. We ordered lamb shank and rice and the food tasted great. The waitress brought us free Iranian tea and we enjoyed it.

Tonight we went to the restaurant for dinner with the family. Everything was great. The food and service were very warm and friendly. It was my son's birthday and we were served very well by the young girl who was there. We will be back to the restaurant again.

The staff was very welcoming and attentive, checking on us regularly . The restaurant had a warm and inviting ambiance with soft lighting and tasteful decor. Everything was clean and well-maintained.

Absolute rip-off and total scam! Despite being a loyal customer for over 15 years, I'm appalled by my recent experience at this restaurant.
I ordered £50 worth of shish kebab meant for three people but received a shockingly small portion that would barely feed one person. The food quality was dreadful - it had a peculiar taste (like excessive yeast) and sadly caused food poisoning symptoms in my family, including an elderly relative who was unwell. I specifically mentioned this was for an elderly person when ordering, which makes this even more unacceptable.
The order was a complete shambles:
- Tiny portions despite the extortionate £50 charge
- Only 2 Coca-Colas when we paid for 3
- No bread included despite specifically requesting it
- Measly salad portion
- Shoddy packaging
- No receipt provided (rather suspicious!)
When I raised these legitimate concerns, I was met with rudeness rather than an apology. Yes, the manager (Faramarz) called, but offered neither a refund nor a proper apology for potentially endangering my family's health.
Although many in our local Iranian community advised me against writing this review (as it's a small community and usally we support each others), I feel obligated to warn others. The astronomical price hikes paired with plummeting food quality and shocking customer service is unacceptable. I've reported this food safety incident to relevant authorities.
After 15 years of loyal custom, it pains me to say this, but AVOID at all costs until they sort out their food safety, portion sizes, and customer service. Proper Persian food should never be this poor, especially at these prices!
This could've been resolved privately with a simple apology and refund, but their arrogant response has left me no choice but to warn fellow customers. Save your money and health - go elsewhere!

Worst decision of going this place. Taste was below average we left the food couldn’t finish tasteless food and overly expensive food too much high prices with extra 10% tax on table charge if you pay by card. Looters. Waitress are too rude they keep staring you like you are a thief or what and won’t listen even if you call them . Worst place

Excellent service. Food was great. Loved the kebab. The rice is delicious. The dessert was great. Pear tart and Ice cream.
Tea is a nice way to end meal. Toilet is down some steep stairs. Take it easy going down there.

Amazing Persian restaurant 😍
You'll find Persian culture design, beautiful dishes, and kind staff with welcoming smiles. We started with fresh Naan and special yoghurt with "mussir", followed by Ghormeh Sabzi, a Persian stew made of lamb chops and some vegetables, then special Lamb koofte kebab with pistachio was amazing with great taste and beautiful rice, salad as side. Try the ice cream if you like but we went with special tea. The environment was clean, and the dishes and tables were shiny ✨️ definitely worth trying, and you'll love it.
