Food is ok’ish but portions a re small and it’s way overpriced. Staff super busy. Place itself very average. Not worth it.

Went on a Saturday for bottomless brunch. Service was quite slow for drinks for the first 70 minutes, picked up for the last 20 minutes but felt not worth the money. The food wasn't great and I felt a bit weird after the food, and then later threw up six times. I've never thrown up like that in my life and missed a football game I had tickets to two hours later.

Food was good but the service was not. I think it comes down to the way you have to order food, filling in quantities on the menu. It gets confusing for us and the waiter when you order more. We kept getting dishes we hadn't ordered and the ones we did order were forgotten. We were given rice and seaweed pretty much straight away but then nothing else for about 20mins! By the time other bits had arrived the rice was cold. Not sure I would return.

It's good for a cheap and cheerful meal in London. Food is not particularly good especially if you expect real dimsum.

It took 45 minutes between me arriving and getting my first drink. The staff were so slow and inattentive. When the food came, we had ordered 3 of the same dishes to the table with their stupid paper system where you tick boxes, and of course they brought one rather than three. When it did come, it was average at best. The staff really did make a bad experience worse. All over the place, poorly trained and lacked any kind of focus. Not what you expect in London, and particularly not at the high price point.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service and overall experience during my visit to your Ping Pong restaurant in Southbank on 02/02/2025. Ping Pong has been one of my favourite restaurants, and I have always had positive experiences in the past, which makes this situation even more disheartening. My usual branch was located at St Katherine’s Dock, however, due to the store being permanently being closed, I had no option but to try the Southbank branch, which has changed my dining experience completely at Ping Pong. Originally, I had booked a table for two, but upon arrival, I asked if there was a table for three available as we were expecting another guest. Your staff accommodated this request without informing us that the table would later be taken away. From the beginning, the service was incredibly slow. It took a long time for us to even be acknowledged, and after placing our order, we waited around 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Our dim sum dishes alone took over 20 minutes to be served, nothing like our previous visits, where the service was much more efficient. When the food finally arrived, we were asked if our third guest was still coming, and we advised that they would no longer be joining us. At this point, the staff informed us that they needed to take the additional table away, which we completely understood. However, once the table was removed, we had no space to comfortably fit our food. Strangely, another staff member then used the same table now placed at a distance from us to set down our dishes, creating an awkward gap between the tables. When I asked if we could move the table closer so we could eat comfortably, a staff member said they would check with a manager. In the meantime, another employee moved the table back near us, only for yet another staff member to return five minutes later and remove it again, forcing us to shuffle our plates and food around. This was frustrating, unnecessary, and quite frankly, embarrassing. Everyone was looking at us which added to our awful experience. To make matters worse, the food quality was extremely disappointing. The dishes we ordered outside of the Lazy Sumday option arrived cold and, honestly, were not enjoyable at all. This was a stark contrast to the high standards we have come to expect from Ping Pong. What was even more frustrating was the lack of care from your management team. After expressing our concerns, the assistant manager came to our table but, rather than taking the time to ask about the actual issues, simply handed us the general managers contact details and told us we could email her directly. I asked if he had the time to listen to our concerns at that moment, which he did. While he eventually offered a goodwill discount, it was hardly enough to compensate for such a poor experience. Throughout all of this, the deputy manager did not once return to our table to apologise for the service issues we encountered, despite our concerns being raised. The complete disregard for customer satisfaction left us feeling undervalued as customers. I am extremely disappointed and upset that we spent our hard-earned money on what turned out to be a terrible experience both in terms of customer service and food quality.

Estuve hace varios años y genial. Un restaurante original y con una carta variada. Si te gusta la comida asiática como el sushi y las gyozas disfrutarás. El precio algo elevado, pero claro al final también pagas el sitio, que es inmejorable.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had to suffer for years. Huge restaurant with a tiny kitchen and lack of staff. Incapable of providing even a basic level of service - no glasses (chased twice ), no cutlery , haphazard and incredibly slow delivery of food with 20 minute intervals between dishes which we ordered together. Icing on cake was being told after an hour of ordering and chasing several times that my main dish was out of stock. A paltry bill reduction of 25%. Unacceptable in every way. Packed into an area with plastic flowers and fairy lights . Don’t go!

Bao looked like it got beat up before it got to the table. If you’re Asian, this is not the restaurant for you. Tastes like culturally appropriated dim sum.

Excellent service from Danna. As always the food quality is great and delivered quickly. I only mark down to 4* as we were seated by the door and there was a cold draft when the door was held open by other customers. I recommend the Bao buns, and sweet & sour chicken.

Fantastic experience here - celebrating my mother's birthday, they brought out a complimentary dessert with a little candle, sang happy birthday to her without really being prompted beyond a mention in the reservation, and were generally really lovely, friendly and helpful. Excellent service throughout and lovely food as always. Special thanks to V and TG for looking after us and making a little celebratory lunch extra special, really appreciate both of your help and positive attitude!!
