Seems only fit for office workers getting after work drinks or straight white women who are bored of other bars. The roof was shut for the entire time I was there, so we had to step out onto the street to smoke... not exactly the most secure or safe experience. Drinks are overpriced, the dj can't mix, the bar staff seem flustered, but at least there was ONE queer person checking tickets. This place reminds me of the gay scene in Birmingham right now... and I don't mean that positively.

Words cannot describe how offensive the taller male entrance security guard was on my first (and definitely my last ever visit) to Queen of Hoxton for a gig on 7.2.25. He was atrocious beyond belief and extremely heavy handed, rude and patronising. Shameful behaviour from someone who appears to be using his power in an abusive manner. I did gain entry as I had a valid ticket - after giving him a well deserved, dose of his own medicine. Please do send him on a novice security guard training course. I hope he learns to treat customers without prejudgement and with basic dignity and respect. I for one, won't be coming back.

Went clubbing and again to see an artist I like, and both experiences were underwhelming. The venue is run down and uninspiring and it seemed to lack much of an atmosphere on both occasions even into the thick of the night when most other places would be bouncing. The staff have always been friendly, both on the door and behind the bar and the prices seemed reasonable. Please renovate!

Absolutely loved the vibe of this place the second we came in , very nice staff, great music (we went on Saturday for “only bangers”) and good drinks! We actually left the place we went afterwards to go back here till the end of the night.

We booked a table for the Queen’s Masquerade on the rooftop bar, and they promised us a ‘cosy, heated wigwam’ - what we actually got was 5 groups of people at 5 separate tables, too cold to at any point take off their winter coats, hats, and scarves. Every time someone asked about heating they were told that ‘the heating is on’ - however there clearly wasn’t any heating inside the wigwam, just inside the actual building, some of which made it out the open door to the wigwam, but then also straight out the wide open tent flap, into the cold night air. We had booked a table for 5pm, however stood on the street, outside the closed doors, until after 5 o’clock, before they venue finally opened. If you’re not going to have the venue ready and open just before, or at least at 5pm on the dot, then maybe don’t take your first bookings until 5.15pm. Easy solution. The member of staff at the bar was perfectly pleasant and very jolly, considering the frigid conditions he was working in, however when we tried to order one of the hot cocktails on arrival we were told they’d need another 20 minutes to heat up properly. Again, maybe make sure that everything you are offering is ready for 5 o’clock, if you’re going to allow people to book tables from 5 o’clock. The drinks and food were very nice, hence the 5 star rating, and reasonably priced for the area and type of establishment (the food especially). The service wasn’t bad as such, but there was one person manning the bar and taking orders for the food, and it was self service, which would normally be fine, but was made extra difficult by the slippery slightly icy outside area of the rooftop, hence the average rating. The satin drapery and mask and feather decorations were cute. I didn’t exactly feel transported to the magical world of the queen’s masquerade, but it was cute enough. However we left over an hour earlier than we had planned to leave, because we were so cold it had started to become difficult to chat through our chattering teeth, and really all we wanted was to go sit in a warm coffee shop for 30 minutes and get the chill out of our bones before starting the journey home. So yeah, I suggest fixing the heating and giving the timing of everything some serious thought. People are going to stay longer and spend more money, if they’re not worried about frostbite.

We went to this venue randomly, last minute birthday drinks. I have to say that we had an amazing time. Great atmosphere, great bar staff. Also I have to mention the venue manager and security manager both of them were absolutely brilliant from the beginning to the end (few friends got a bit tipsy) but they were patient and super helpful. Thank you guys and we strongly recommend your venue.

Visited the club last Saturday it was a rainy night. The security were very quick to let us in the atmosphere inside was very nice.drinks afordable .loved it

For sure , I can not deny this was my best experience I’ve had so far. In all the pubs I’ve been, this one was one of the best. I don’t know how some people can talk bad about HD. As he was really a kind , courteous and polite person at the right point. Of course, if there is something that doesn’t come in your favor, you must comment negatively because you are not able to be inherent in yourself. If your are not happy just go to another place maybe the problem is just some of you .

I had great time here at the Hoxton! We were a group of friend celebrating my birthday last Friday and we had so much fun. Service was excellent and everything went very smooth. At the entrance we were welcomed by the head doorman, very professional and bar staff very quick and great service too! Definitely we will come back again!

Had a fab time at queen of hoxton! Door staff were friendly, professional, polite and courteous. Bar staff were serving drinks quickly (not an easy job as was very busy!) and the roof terrace is amazing! Fabulous evening had by the whole group and will Def be returning 😃

I had a really disappointing experience here. Went to celebrate my birthday with about 10 of my friends, when 1 of them was denied entry by the head of security. My friend, who had already paid for a ticket for the event, was completely sober and behaving, he denied her entry and when I tried to explain that she was with me, I was already in the club, he said ‘happy birthday but I don’t care, she can’t come in’. Truly disappointed and will not be returning.

The worst security I’ve encountered in London. Met my friends here, completely sober, head of security points me out of my group saying “the rest of the group can go in, but not you”. I questioned this, he was laughing in my face, having none of it. I spoke to other security and they all said to re-queue and I can get back in, but once again, as head of security, he stopped me to turn me away. Other people in the queue seemed to be in argument with security, and based on other reviews, it seems this is a reoccurring issue.
