I went to the Pub on Sunday the 2nd of March, lucky to have a table for 3 people, the service was good but the food was not, two of my friends had Sunday roast with chicken that was white and tasteless, the cabbage boiled in water and the cauliflower overcooked.
It looked like a Hospital Sunday roast for their patients.
The dish looked microwave.
What a disappointment and expensive I live locally and was chocked to the standard.
Yesterday went to the Rutland Arms, what a difference!!!

They have purchased a table and stools from IKEA to pack a few more people in. Hides the fireplace but that added character and the Dove doesn’t do character anymore. Some Irish guy behind the bar thinks he is ‘God’s gift’ but he has room temperature IQ. It gets busy with tourists, never locals. They are all in the better pubs that surround this one.

... I paid an extortionate amount for a pint (even for London). The pub itself is nice but the tables are very close together, and the outside seating area is nice (overlooking the river) but again is very tight.

Lovely old pub. Great river views. Really nice staff. Because of the size, can get very busy. But don't let that put you off. Well worth a visit

The Dove is a beautiful little venue on the river. Unfortunately the staff are over it.. Probably worn down by all the entitled privileged people who come in and bark at them. We are not those people but the staff didn't notice or care. The passive aggressive, silent resentment oozing from their pores is too obvious. Pint of ale my husband ordered wasn’t drinkable and cloudy. How often are lines cleaned? Nothing was asked when they cleared the half drunk pint glass as to why? Not bothered. Starter of katsu aubergine really nice. Sadly, the halibut- priced at £36 pretty flavourless and overcooked. The risotto didn’t have any flavour to it and was undercooked and not creamy as you would wish.Took an age for them to clear our starters. Clearly they don’t care- don’t blame them - probably aren’t paid very well or incentivised but still it’s a shame. I had to walk up to the bar to order our desserts as we were forgotten about again. Poor service and average food. Wouldn’t mind if this was a wee local out in the country but they profess to be something special and sadly at £100 a head lunch- they really weren’t.

The pub is cute and staff are nice.
Was disappointed by the amount of meat in my roast.
Mad prices!

Came for a Sunday roast and it was unexpectedly closed. Fullers site and google both said open. Wasted journey.
But positive review as the menu looks good and I will try again another time.

Update on 12th February: there are still mice in this pub. It has been closed for 4 weeks for tarting up, but they have not fumigated the cellar which is needed to address their recurring public health problem.
Hygiene warning: There are mice in this pub. They may be living in the cellar which is not subject to inspections. They hide in the ancient walls and drink from the drip trays under the kegs.

Adotei o local, pequeno e aconchegante, com vista para o rio Thames, e ainda uma lareira pra aquecer nesse frio.

BRING BACK FRONTIER!
I've been coming to the Dove for 10 years. Why the brewery has good rid of the best pint of frontier in London?! I know many who that was their sole reason to go to the Dove over the years. They have replaced it with Asahi, if you can believe that. A shame, they have lost a lot of local custom by dropping the beer.

One of my favourite riverside pubs in Hammersmith. This is especially true on a cold winters day when you’re lucky enough the get a spot by the fire at the front.

Fantastic and historic riverside pub. Fuller place. Outside seating is on a deck above the river. Rule Britannia was written here. Usually very crowded. I would suggest booking a table in advance for lunch or dinner.

We turned up for lunch to relaise i had booked the wrong day, being mid December the pub was deservedly very busy, we had a drink and sat in the bar area. We were quickly asked by Stuart if we'd like the next table that came up and it mightbe roughly 20mins, he was spot on and we were sat at the ideal tabel within 15 mins. We had a brillient meal and Sturat made sure we didn't go without throughout our stay. Excellent service, excellent food.

Amazing Sunday Roast! Beautiful, old historic pub. It is small though, if going for Sunday Roast or dinner you need to book in advance. If going for a pint and snack, go during the week in the afternoon.
