Overpriced wine ...asked for a medium but it wasn't £12.50....Holly Bush used to be reasonable but now trades on its location and tik tok reviews. The flask is a better more spacious and not as expensive

Didn’t get food (ridiculous offerings for a pub) so just giving it an average score there. While the decor of the pub is amazing, the people you’ll find in there quickly ruin the atmosphere. Despite the sign at the door asking you to wait to be seated, don’t expect the wait staff to actually come and take an order.

Beautiful pub. Service was pretty poor at the bar. One barman making hot drinks and a queue when the pub was quiet. Serving the person he seen first rather than finding out who was waiting longest. £15.70 for a glass of wine is a joke. Over rated and not worth the climb up the hill. The prices are as steep as the climb up the stairs. 🥲

Had a great catchup with my old school friends, 30 yr reunion lunch. Had a great time and the food was excellent. Lovely english atmosphere!

We were celebrating two joint birthdays early saturday evening dinner. From their menu they were out of half of the items we requested: - Gnocchi - Poached pear pudding - Sticky toffee pudding Our 17 year olds were refused a glass of beer each even though they were with parents and had ID. We go there regularly but this is the first time we encountered this which was a shame as we were celebrating two birthdays. A real disappointment although the service was great and we got a great table. We will not be rushing back to eat here.

What a delightful discovery! We saw this pub mentioned on TikTok and decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed! As soon as you’re seated you’re served an adorable plate of fluffy brioche buns with salted butter with parsley. The food was fantastic, delicious and varied. Service attentive and friendly. The pub itself has retained a lot of original structure, rooms and design but clearly really well maintained. My only small feedback would be the fish and chips where the fish tasted a bit too fried as the batter was very dark and crusty. The fish was fresh and tasty though.

Terrible! I was extremely disappointed with the service at this pub. My companion and I were sitting at the bar around noon on a quiet Wednesday—there were only 4 people in the entire place. At some point, we asked to move to the table near the fireplace, but were told it wasn’t allowed because those tables were reserved for food orders. We clarified that we were happy to order snacks, yet they still refused. After consulting the manager, they suggested we could move to a table near the radiator, which honestly felt like a bad joke. The attitude was appalling, and I’ll never return to this place.

I was a little skeptical of my reservation after reading some reviews the day before, I am so glad I did not cancel my reservation! I was there for lunch celebrating my birthday and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience! the food was great and very tasty, the portions were great, not small at all and the service was lovely!  this pub is beautiful, has a great vibe and I cannot wait to visit again! Thank you!

Finally made it here on Saturday. It's been on the radar for many years, and it didn't disappoint 🙌
