Second visit to view the drawings of the Italian renaissance. This exhibition comprises three rooms and needed two visits to fully appreciate the collection. Free talks twice daily along with a comprehensive audio guide, included in the entry fee.

Only had a couple of hours in London and the Gallery always has exhibitions which are not expansive in size but always interesting.

The museum is decently laid out across 3-4 rooms, and shares good information on the works in both signs and free audio guides. However, the three galleries can be seen in about 25-30 minutes so it didn’t feel like the best value relative to the ticket price.
I also hadn’t appreciated that there wasn’t a permanent collection - instead the exhibition being booked is the entirety of the 3-4 rooms. So we came for the Italian Renaissance, which featured drawings from notable artists like DaVinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, and others between 1500-1700 across areas like nature, people, and divine. It was interesting - just smaller than expected.
Facility wise: Security does require x-ray machine to enter. The gift shop has a large selection of royal-themed items. Clean toilets and a cloakroom available on ground (past security). Some seating in the rooms.

Excellent exhibition of Italian Renaissance Drawings. Very extensive and informative. Always impressed by the cleanliness and quality of the gallery and the exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent mini talk on Titian's ostrich drawing by one of the staff.

Very atmospheric gallery which displays work from the Royal collection. Tickets are not cheap BUT tickets can be used for other visits for a year if stamped on the day. So good value if you make repeat visits.
Shop sells Royal memorabilia at central London prices. No café inside sadly.
