I must say the music was really nice! The DJ did a great job. The food was okay, I ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas. The coleslaw salad on the side was a bit dry and had no dressing. My friend had curry with rice and peas, that tasted really amazing! The cocktails were okay.

Fantastic meal at The Rum Kitchen. The food was so tasty - would particularly recommend the suya chicken, Jollof rice and braised mutton, and fried plantain. Loads of rum cocktails to choose from and all the ones we had were great. Ivy was lovely and so thoughtful with extra little things to make our evening even better! Also great music all evening

We came for a birthday lunch and sadly left early due to bad service from girl behind the bar (can only presume she’s a manager) Music got too loud during lunch, girl behind the bar refused to lower it despite us having young babies with us. Such a simple thing which could have been changed so easily but she refused to be friendly - we had younger babies joining us after but took our business to clover’s lounge round the corner. We should have gone to Clover’s Lounge first. Our waitress was superb but sadly the other lady is incompetent at providing a good experience.

Do not give this company your money, I am still waiting for my deposit of £140, from the 2nd March 2024. I even had to pay for my food and drinks on the night, which was over £100. They couldn't use my deposit, which is what I was told would happen as part of the payment. So basically they have £250 of my money and are refusing to give me my deposit money back. Today is the 10th April 2024?!?! I have emailed 4 times and spoken to management and I'm still waiting for the finance department to refund my money. I have been patient, now I'm going to contact my bank to get my money back. Never again, and this was a place I would meet friends over the years, but never again. They have stolen my money.... Don't give this restaurant your money!!!!!

I visited on Friday night 5th April with my sister and my son. The staff here a extremely very kind with good customer service especially Ivy who looked after us and made sure we enjoyed our night. She is exceptional. Gordon Amfo well brought up and polite young man with a friendly respectful attitude. Overall the entire staff were very polite and helpful.Not mention the DJ blew us away with the best music of our times made our night even special well done DJ. I will definitely come again and recommend my friends too.

The curry goat with rice and peas was nice. No problems with that. My colleague had the curry chicken and gor chicken " Southers fried - coated" chicken strippers in the same curry goat grave as I had. We were not convinced. The overall food menu was a bit limited. The service was good though, and the Rude Boy rum punch certainly packed a punch.

The service was exceptional. The staff were very attentive and that is rare in this day & age. Well done to you all and in particular the lady who accomodated, us even though we did not have a booking. Above & beyond service. Thank you

I am so grateful to Ivy and her team for making my birthday meal so special. I had a terrible experience at Rum Kitchen Soho and decided to try again in Brixton and I'm really happy I made the effort. The Brixton staff went completely above and beyond from the moment I stepped in. Good jokes, good drinks and good food. Double compliments to the chef, the food at Soho wasn't even comparable. Nothing was too much trouble and they had everything in stock. I even needed a takeaway box. Next time, I will just go straight to Rum Kitchen Brixton to ensure I have a good time.
