Wow. The place was busy, it was a lovely spring day, so we sat on the wall outside with our drinks. Five minutes later, a member of staff moved us on as they "don't have a licence for the pavement". My wife's got a dodgy knee so it would have been nice to be able to sit down. To be fair, when we asked the girl who moved us on, should found us a seat outside in the covered bit, but then we were moved on again as someone had booked it.
I like a nice, relaxed experience, even if just stopping off for one, and I didn't get it. Popped over the green to The Duke and that was a lot better in my opinion.
Bar staff were quick and cheery.

They refused to serve my girlfriend because she had a foreign drivers license. We were told they only accept uk IDs

We had our wedding reception there! The floor team is amazing✨ We love the photos we took there and all our guests are really happy with the food and drinks quality!

Love it what an incredible pub. The place is incredible and I would recommend. I have only one issue the place should be called Madeline. Why I hear you ask she is the absolute best and is an absolute legend. I will be back just for her alone!

Great spot! Nice piece of history to be in there enjoying a pint and cozy bar. I do miss the cat that’s always hanging around, apparently a local celebrity self proclaimed mascot. Definitely recommend a visit.
