Is Wibbas Down the original name for Wimbledon? I've no idea. What I do know though, is that this pub is a great spot for an interval pint. Make it your intermission to visit.

Deceptively very large establishment, friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks. One of the nicer Wetherspoon pubs.

A spacious, enjoyable pub in main town Wimbledon. Well run, and great value. Busy in the evening. Right opposite the theatre, and a short walk from the station. It's a Wetherspoons pub, so expect all the usual fayre, don't expect high end drinking and eating, but then your not paying high end prices.
Comfortable enough! Food is constantly excellent.

Ordered a main and dessert at the same time to save two trips up to the bar as it was busy. Requested for dessert to be made after, otherwise the ice cream would melt. When the food arrived they still brought out the dessert with main so I told the waitress that it can't be eaten yet as the room is hot and ice cream looked already melted. Finished the main and asked a waiter that was I ready for dessert now. 15 mins later asked a different waiter as was still waiting. After 30 mins asked another waiter who was adamant that because I had sent the dessert back that the dessert was back of the queue even though I'd asked 2 waiters previously to get it ready. Pub was at peak time but even so considering it was ordered technically over an hour ago it should be out on standby. 3rd waiter was rude and had no customer empathy that this waiting time is not acceptable. Quick to demand from me on the spot do i want a refund or wait another 30 mins??!! for the pudding. I asked him to again check with the kitchen which he did with reluctance. Noticed that another customer had an issue with their food and the same rude waiter had a debate with the customer. Think this person needs to go on a customer service course. It's not our fault if they can't cope with busy periods in the pub. Usually enjoy the experience at this location but today was disappointing.

It's a nice place. Ambience is good. Food portions are decent and nicely cooked. Service is good. We ordered pitchers of cocktails, snacks and mains.

Last stop on our Christmas pub crawl. Usual Witherspoon atmosphere, cheap drinks, we had a laugh.

Came for valentines drinks and had a lovely time. Had the spicey chicken wings and the boneless chicken basket. Both were tasty 😋. Staff were attentive.

Just went with a friend for a few drinks. It's very spacious and the service is good. The drinks are very reasonably priced.

Salad was missing from our food order, and only one napkin provided between 2 people. Also after standing at the bar for ages was told that "they didn't serve there" even though there was a POS machine and no sign advising that there was no service. For some reason, that was never explained, I had to move 2 metres along the bar to get served, even though later other people were served in the exact same spot where I'd been standing. Strange attitude from staff who supposedly are there to provide service. Probably best to order via the app and avoid contact with the staff, which i would have done if the beer I'd wanted was listed there, which of course it
wasn't.
Back in the Wibbas again, usual shambles: Tables piled high with uncollected crockery, only 3 types of pizza available, 4 ales off, one bar closed due to staff shortages, customers listening to devices with no headphones.
No wonder the share price is through the floor.
