Historisches Pub in London

Beste britische Küche in Greenwich

Maritime Themen in Restaurants

Saturday afternoon and the bar was 4 people deep. A lot of people making the most of the weather and views. Table service was excellent and the guy was cool who done it (but his BO was horrific). Love the decor, like the atmosphere outside more than in - the whitbait was brown(?), and the Vege Board was mysterious. Chips were excellent and macaroni cheese not bad. Small children will love the food which arrived 30 mins before our drinks. I will return as it’s a great overall pub but maybe not to eat.

Great location on the river, with views of Canary Wharf. The outside area is really pretty with bunting and fairy lights. Good selection of drinks and a fun pub quiz. Didn't eat, so can't comment on food.

45 min of wait for 2 beers, rude staff and no one respects the queue. Ruined my Saturday mood

Lovely food, nice selection of ales, and really happy to see Murphy's on tap as well as Guinness. Not had a Murphy's for years. The fish and chips was a good size, had the lemon and raspberry sorbet for dessert, lovely and fresh. The live band was good as well. Lovely view, and a good end to a very enjoyable and relaxing birthday. The Trafalgar Tavern is highly recommended.

As a South Londoner, I know this area like the back of my hand. I understand that the present owners want to maximise the revenue of this place. (Nothing wrong in making a profit) The location, food and choice of drinks are good but please do not try to rip off tourists and locals with unjustifiable service charges you automatically add on to the bill. We did not eat in the restaurant but had some food delivered to our table by the bar, which was £42 for Fish and chips (Only a few chips) and a burger with Salad. My sister was struggling to understand why the bill was showing over £49 without the drinks which were paid for separately. The manager said because the food was delivered to the table a service charge was added. This is a RIPOFF and I would urge tourists especially, to consider other pubs along the riverbank which are only a short walk away. Further to your response It should be up to the customer to decide if they wish to pay a service charge as the law states it is optional. Please do not use your staff as an excuse to justify adding on a service charge.

The most expensive pint I have ever had in London… £17.20…. For two Guinness. 1 star for your outrageous prices. Another star for the view…

This place is incredible, the food was great and the staff were outstanding! The fireplace was going just added to the atmosphere. It was so easy to get here via the boat. A must stop on any Greenwich trip!

We had Sunday lunch at the Trafalgar Tavern. It was a generous and tasty plate. For dessert, I had a Bread and Butter dessert with extra custard… OMG it was so yummy! In addition, although the restaurant was very busy the staff was very attentive and friendly. Reservations recommended!!!

Fabulous!! I went here for the first time two weeks ago for my niece's 25th birthday. She had booked a table in the Nile dining area. Some of our party were almost an hour late but the staff never once hassled us for the table or to order food. When we did order I tried the vegan roast which was so good. And I am not a vegan. My mum had the child's roast which was a very generous portion of everything that an adult would have. Everyone enjoyed their food. In fact, my brother was keen to order another roast as the pork was so good!! 😊 Drinks were dear so I just had soft drinks and a very nice pot of tea. The pub is an amazing venue, right on the river at Greenwich with great views. It was incredibly crowded but the service was first class. The bar staff were great as well. They also let us bring our own birthday cake and provided forks and plates. All in all a great experience and if we are in Greenwich again we will definitely visit.

The Trafalgar Tavern is an absolutely stunning pub with a prime riverside location in Greenwich. The historic charm of the building, combined with its gorgeous views over the Thames, makes it a fantastic spot for a drink or a meal. Whether you're sitting inside soaking up the old-world atmosphere or outside watching the boats go by, the setting is hard to beat. The drinks selection is solid, with a good range of beers, wines, and spirits to choose from. The service was friendly, and everything arrived promptly, which was great. That said, given its location, it does attract a fair number of tourists, which means it can get quite busy, and the prices are a little on the higher side compared to other pubs in the area. Overall, it's a lovely place to visit, especially for the views and ambiance. While it may not be the best choice if you're looking for a quieter, more local-feeling pub, it's definitely worth experiencing at least once - especially on a sunny day by the river!
