Me and my husband tried the raj as reviews looked really good but my god probably the worst Indian I’ve ever had, the waiter made us feel really uncomfortable standing over us waiting for us to finish are starter. The madras had no spice what so ever and very little lamb. Was more like a gravy. Then another waiter started cleaning cutlery right behind are head on the next table which was really relaxing,
All in all shiiiiit and overpriced.

Warm welcome on arrival, didnt book. Was busy which was great to see on a Sunday, music on but not too loud. Drinks came fast after seating as did the starters and dishes to follow.. best mixed starter had in a very long time.. will visit again next time in the area

Really disappointed , Average curry at its best. Madras no real spice or flavour, bland Madras. Chicken (in my opinion felt watery) as though it's been frozen.
Both currys bland, Madras and Korma.
Over priced for a poor to average meal. Garlic Naan hardly any garlic on, small and overall not great.
Disappointed 😞 with our first meal there, was hoping to be in luck with a first family meal.
If you want an over priced, Average curry.... take your chances but I'm afraid it's a no for us going back.

I ate as a lone diner early on a Friday night. I received a super welcome and outstanding service throughout the evening. I ordered prawn dishes with an accompaniment and they were all very tasty.

Friendly and attentive staff. Gorgeous food. Had a lovely evening with family and friends. Restaurant quite small, but definitely a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. If a larger party l would recommend you book a table in advance.

Went here for my dads stag do.. we ordered a fire shot and it was passed over my grandads head and burt his face and gave him blurry vision as it had gone in his hair and burnt his eyebrow. No apology and got £30 knocked off the bill. More rice was brought out than we ordered and we got charged for it. Poor poor services from this restaurant!

Was visiting Louth with my brother last weekend, we both love Indian food so a curry was definitely on the agenda- we chose the Raj Mohal based on it's Google reviews , and it's all a bit confusing really, as our experience couldn't have been more different than the majority of these reviews - it was positively the worst Indian meal we can both remember, served to us by totally indifferent staff.
I had the Chicken Jalfrezi with rice and onion bhajis - the meat was regular shaped peices (that hasdobviously previously been on a skewer) just dumped into a generic masala sauuce, and some uncooked chillis were thrown into the sauce
Onion bhajis were large, but soggy and the greasiest I have ever experienced, and I've been eating Indian food at least once a week for more than 30 years.
The staff, although plentiful, we're not available when we wanted them but removed the remains of our poppadoms without asking before we had finished,, wouldn't make eye contact and weren't interested in our concerns, hence this review
I can only assume that all these positive reviews here are from people who go ave absolutely no idea what good Indian food tastes like, or they are fake
Probably needless to say, but we'll not be coming here again on our next visit to Louth- avoid

Me and my family are friends with most of the staff so its lovley and the dishes are amazing i do recommend. Sad they removed the desserts though😔.

I went to the toilet and a waiter came out of the cubicle and walked straight past me without even washing his hands! I complained to the management and was told that he was new and he’d only had a wee! With that mentality I hate to think what their hygiene standards are behind closed doors!! I won’t be going back
