Spent a few relaxing days here. It was comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful. Some locations weren't too easy to access with a mobility scooter but overall it wasn't bad. Meals were fair but nothing to write home about at this resort, particularly if you are a cook yourself and the desserts were quite awful. One major problem at meal times was the lack of plates with the customer left to beg steal or borrow one from another serving location. This was one place where staff were not very helpful. Lots of activities for those who seek them, entertainment was generally of a high standard and overall a good stay. Not my favourite Warners but I'd rate it quite high.

We have been to quite a lot of Warner hotels, and unfortunately this is the worst one we have visited. We are in a superior chalet, which is OK. Things we don't like are the distance from the main building where you take all your meals. And the freezing bathroom! Also, the hot water takes about 5 minutes to come through! Our other complaint is there is no waiter service in the restaurant, it is now all self service, which we don't like. Staff as always are lovely.

Very good three days.
Arrived on a Friday checking was quick and easy. Rooms clean and tidy. Recently refurbished. Parking is in the general Parking area, which is away from the accommodation.
Meals Very good nice selection.
Evening entertainment excellent.

This is the second year running my wife, and I have been to Gunton Hall. Would definitely highly recommend it. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and the entertainment is first class. We will definitely be going back.

Not bad at all. Food is buffet fayre but is actually very good indeed - the chefs know what they are doing and there is a wide selection of different foods from all over the world on offer. Rooms are clean and tidy and actually quite spacious. The smallest niggle would be that, for me personally with not best eyesight, the TV is a bit small. However it worked for instantly and had a good selection of channels. Very generous amounts of tea and coffee provided as well as crisps, some cookies and bottled water. Daytime a busy selection of events keep you occupied or go for a walk round the grounds. Evening is live music and of a high calibre ( wasn't to my taste but it wasn't my birthday weekend haha!). Bar closes very late and is well stocked! The staff are exceptionally good and attentive especially Olivia who managed to accomadate all 25 of us on our table with no problem. A definite plus to the establishment for sure. The best thing of all is it's over 18s only. Overall 10/10.

Went with friends for a motown weekend and had a great time. Unfortunately the temperatures at the time were below zero and it wasn't quite warm enough in the chalets, especially the bathroom. We were seated by a door in the dining area, which was absolutely freezing cold. However, the buffet food was exceptional from starters to desserts, just a shame it went cold instantly.
The entertainment was great, with a big dance floor which was fully occupied. The ladies loo was quite a trek away, but not a major problem.
We were in sycamore, facing the field where the archery takes place. A short walk over the field and a 10 minute walk brings you to the beach.
The locals were very friendly, along with the staff. Would go again.

This is a great place with themed weekends, we went to the motown weekend, and it was great. We have booked up for another stay in December 2025 and January 2026. the pool was a little cool for me and the spa bath. However, the steam room and sauna were good. The activities that you have to book, shooting, archery, and axe throwing were fun and well managed by the resorts team. they were awesome. The pool and snooker table was good. However, the cues were a little off straight. the badminton and curling and ping pong and indoor bowls were good. the spa was good. My wife and friends enjoyed a treatment or 2. I thought they were a little pricey, but what do I know.
I'm looking forward to my return trip and I have to say the food was good too. This is a non cash site, and you have to register a card, and you charge everything to your room. they did not debt my card until the end of our trip. The bar is a bit more than a weaterspoons. However, they do have specials all the time. Give it a try...

Good stay the lady doing the room service needs a bit of training on customer service. The waiter service from James in the restaurant was excellent. Entertainment was also good.

Spent Christmas here. Absolutely fabulous staff who couldn't do enough for you. Food was amazing. The Warner's entertainment team were just superb. Ollie, Shaun, Lucie and Jeni. So funny and super talented.

Love hotel in beautiful surroundings. Stayed in a chalet, which was comfortable and clean. Lovely food, great service from our lovely server, Rebecca. All other staff are helpful, kind, and considerate. Fantastic entertainment from Ollie, Lucie, Jenny, and Shane, and the in-house group Crackerjax. Highly recommend staying here.

I was really looking forward to our stay at Gunton Hall having spent a lovely weekend at another Warner hotel in September at Cricket St Thomas. My excitement was short lived.
After taking our cases to our chalet we went to dinner and as a Cricket St Thomas we were shown to to the table where we were to have all of our meals during our stay. The area was cramped, crowded and with difficult access for many of the people that had walking aids, sticks, frames etc.
I asked the Maître d (name of Harrison) if we would be able to move to a less crowded dining area. He told me that all of the seats were taken in other parts of the dining area. This was a lie because they were clearly unoccupied.
Credit where it is due our chalet had been prepared to a very high standard by Cheryl and was maintained to this standard during our stay. Our chalet (ET15) had very noisy heating installed which kept us awake for most of the first night. I spoke to reception and they arranged for a free-standing oil filled radiator to be placed in the chalet. Earlier, Reception had been unable to offer a room upgrade because all of the rooms in the hall had been taken.
Compared to the entertainment at Cricket St Thomas we found the tribute bands here to be mediocre although the DJ was excellent. He needed to ad-lib through glitches caused by the technology for the tribute bands on each night and he did this really well.
In conclusion, the awful dining experience spoiled our stay at Gunton Hall and we will not be going to any other Warner hotels in the future.

We were a party of 8, from 55yrs to 60yrs, We had such a fun time. We stayed in Willow cottage, Our own parking space great apartment X2 showers not very powerful, small lounge bedroom with TV and everything we needed.
The Hotel and restaurant was a very short walk away. Buffet style restaurant. The whole hotel needs a little updating but the staff were all lovely helpful cheerful helpful, our server Ellie in the restaurant was very sweet. Went to aqua aerobics with Abbie which was great the Archery which was great fun, then Abbie again for rifle shooting lovely girl and made it so much fun. Thanks guys. Ps must mention reception they were also very helpful nothing was too much trouble.

heating in room was very noisy as were other peoples heating. sauna not working nor was swimming costume dryer. steam room was not fit for purpose and smelt of urine. changing rooms in swimming pool were way too small and not user friendly. activities were good and well organised. food was excellent. staff were also excellent.

We had a lovely stay at Gunton Hall. I have marked the chalets down to 3 stars as they require urgent refurbishment as they are looking tired.
