I saw a white/albino squirrel on walking back to the car earlier today.😲There's a first time for everything.Unfortunately I left my mobile phone in the car🙄

Really nice expansive Park, a friendly cafe onsite too with a nice selection of breakfast baps. Very dog friendly and family friendly though in busy periods parking can be a tad tricky. Although for £2.85 all day you can't complain. Plenty of picnic areas too so you can sit and have a bite if you fancy, and an abundance of greenery and natural walks too!

A disgrace having been here 4/5 years ago I could see a massive area of trees totalling to approx 15 acres of ash trees that would of been planted approx 25 years ago could see back then they had symptoms of the deadly ash die back only now 4/5 years later when I visited there virtually all dead from ash die back why on hell haven’t these been cut down to prevent spread of ash die back especially with the current price of hardwood firewood it would of been on to fell and sell as cordwood or chip wood and prevent spread of the disease as I worked for the forestry and find this very bizarre the whole area is a disgrace overall

Had a fabulous day here in the snow. Great for family picnics. Great picnic tables under cover and good park for the children

Made my first visit here recently on a snow covered winter's day and it was wonderful. Plenty of paths to explore on a relaxing walk and places to observe the local birds and squirrels. Parking was reasonable and there were a decent number of spaces. It is also very close to the canal if you would like to extend your walk and to the Anderton Nature Reserve. Can't wait to go back at different times of year, I'm particularly looking forward to spring and autumn. I foresee that it would be very busy on a weekend in the summer.

A very lovely country park. The little bird hide with adjacent bird table is a bonus. It's nice to sit and see such a variety of birds, from Heron and Swans to Nuthatch and Jay, along with the usual garden birds
