We booked our Sunday lunch today after a beautiful walk along the canal. We were greeted with kindness and gratitude! We had a table for two seated by the window with a beautiful view. We ordered two Roast dinners, one Pork and one Beef. They were both delicious- Actually the best roast dinner we’ve had for a while. We also enjoyed a glass of red Shiraz recommended by the lovely, young gentleman waiter! Overall, 5* service, food and surroundings! Im looking forward to celebrating Mothers day with you all on the 30th March x thank you 🙏

This is a lovely pub has a top quality chef or two, food definitely not pub grub, it's well worth the price, only thing is as weird as it sound the plates are over loaded bit too much going on, sometimes less is more, and the braised red cabbage far too sweet, one mouthful and I was done with the cabbage, I would definitely recommend and visit again

Lovely meal at the ship. Food was fantastic and service very friendly. Reasonable price for a generous meal - rare to find a pub these days that puts effort into their food! Would absolutely return again

Went in for a family Christmas meal food not the best had a turkey roast which looked like it was thrown on sprouts very hard and tasteless also daughter is a vegetarian not much variety on the menu

Overall great pub. Went on a Sunday and it was really busy but we had booked several weeks in advance. Every course was amazing and the portions were so big, I had the Brie starter, steak pie and crumble and every course was amazing. Came so quickly and staff were really friendly and happy to help😊Will be going back x

Exceptional food, lovely selection and we had our works do last night. The staff were excellent, very polite, friendly, caring and attentive. Well worth a visit and reasonable prices. 5 stars

Decided to call in here yesterday afternoon after a bit of christmas shopping was very busy managed to get a table in the bar area as no tables available in restaurant opted for the gammon while my wife choose the fish and chips both were good. friendly
staff, looking forward to our next visit going to book in advance next time.

Disappointed for the price. Quality was poor. Establishment was a bit grubby.. cold chips. Dry burger . Sad salad . Zero atmosphere.
