We've been a few times to this Spoon's, and it's usually pretty good. Last night was a little different! The food was out quick enough but was a bit cold. The drinks didn't arrive until some of us had nearly finished our food.
No one seemed to be clearing or cleaning tables as piles of use plates and glasses were on a lot of tables when we arrived.

Service a disgrace ordered a punk ipa told would have to take another glass as they have only one totally 100% under staffed and one person serving total disgrace for the client and 100% liberty for the staff absolute shambles because of under staffing.

1st time I've eaten here. Food wasn't great, small portion of curry and rice. Service was very slow, staff very polite and apologetic.

Avoid! Recently in the area with our dog and thought we would grab a quick bite to eat. Knew we had to sit outside. Ordered the meal & when the drinks arrived we were told we needed to leave immediately as dogs weren’t allowed. The only pub in the lakes that doesn’t allow dogs. She then started to snatch our drinks away. Would never return!

Stayed at the Premier Inn for the night and this pub was literally next door. Called for a few drinks before and after a meal at a local Italian restaurant. A nice Wetherspoons and incredibly cheap beer. Excellent choice

lovely and warm had a couple of drinks, but for some reason they don’t accept scottish notes, wasn’t bothered though

One of the nicer Spoons around. The decor is tasteful and the space is comfy. Staff tend to be very friendly and chatty. The food is obviously quite average, but it's cheap and cheerful enough. If you want an inexpensive place to spend an evening, the Dog Beck is a good choice!

We stop here often as we travel to and from Carlisle. Last visit, the food looked sad. Admittedly only wraps and burgers but they looked sad. Burger was ok, although the top had slipped to the side and was just plonked on the plate. One of the wraps looked like it was sweating. The girls are rushed off their feet as usual. This visit things were better. Pizza's and a wrap. Can't go wrong. Still good value and a typical Wethers.

Possibly the worst JD we’ve been to in terms of wait times, 40 minutes for some lunch that was then cold when arrived. Poor one staff member the only one running bar and food. Wetherspoons usually served in 10 mins. Wanted a refund but staff said it’s difficult today.
