We were seated pretty quickly even at peak time.
The food and service was brilliant, didn’t need to wait long.
I found the prices fair and the seating comfortable.
Unfortunately we was seated near the entrance and caught a draft coming from under the notice board.
Got a takeout dessert and bought a tub of their ice cream to have later in the week.
The gift shop had some unique items in although a little expensive for me, so left empty handed unfortunately.
Overall I loved it here.

Absolutely lovely 💯 % from walking in to us leaving approx two and half hours the staff was so lovely and accomadateing it's very busy. So might need to check ahead for a booking. Food was very nice forgot to take pics of food .it was very well presented and there were seven of us. the price was very good value and you get a large portion. Would I recommend the Barn at Scorton that's a massive YES .Will I be going back again massive YES .Thank you all seven of us really enjoyed the experience.

Paid £15 for a burger with cheese. Nothing else on it. Plain and greasy. Ridiculous.

Poor effort! We admit we may have made a mistake arriving at 3pm ish and having the audacity to order a main meal, but the carrots & the parsnips served with our meals were seriously overcooked, and the red cabbage was inedible. These had clearly been hanging around a while! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Shepherds pie, however my 'chicken and mushroom pie' whilst tasting good, was more like a bowl of soup with a puff pastry lid on it, from which I had to fish out a one and a half inch bone which could have choked me! The chips, were freshly cooked and were spot on, fluffy and hot. Even though we came at the end of the day service wise, when most people were having afternoon teas or coffee & cakes, we should be afforded the same quality as when the food is prepared earlier in the day. Unfortunately this was not the case. We will return as the Barn is a favourite of ours. Great atmosphere, usually good, but sometimes hit & miss!

abit pricey but the food was so good. My boyfriend was abit annoyed that his loaded fries were cold but all in all, really enjoyed it.

My waffle was absolutely delicious. The whipped cream on top was nice and it was only £1.00 extra for it. However my food and drink came out at the same time. Yet my big 5 smoothie was wonderful. The place was very nice looking and had a good gift shop

I ordered a pint of Peroni and for some reason it was slightly warm which wasn’t great. Then for the price I paid for the burger I’d expect it not to come wrapped in tinfoil like I’m in a takeaway.

Poached eggs were hard boiled and only luke warm, I would be surprised if they were freshly cooked!! I was asked by staff if i enjoyed the food as half was left on plate, when i showed her the eggs were hard boild and not soft poached she giggled and said oh do you prefer them soft poached ?, i eat poached eggs a lot and have never had to say can you please make them soft as they are normally served soft.first time visiting and sadly due to our breakfast today last time. Bought 3 cakes to eat at home, chocolate and beetroot dry on one side so obviously not fresh, courgette and avocado, sponge okay but icing far to sweet, haven't tried coffee renoir yet.

This venue has the amazing ability to cater for a huge amount of people so efficiently. Place order from the extensive and innovative menu at the counter and your order comes served to your table in no time at all. The vegetable stew I had was perfect winter fodder. I’ve never left this place disappointed.

It's always a pleasure to eat here because the food is freshly prepared and they have a good selection on the menu. Portions are very good as well for the price you pay.

I ordered the BLT sandwich which came with a side of coleslaw. My friend ordered the sausage and mash which she thoroughly enjoyed and came with seasonal veg and onion gravy. Quick service and lovely food.

The afternoon tea is excellent.
All-you-can-drink pots of tea, superbly filled sandwiches, exquisite cakes, and hearty fruit scones.
The staff all seemed friendly, welcoming and attentive to our needs.
I no doubt will be back.

Our second visit whilst in the area staying with friends and The Barn is now a firm favourite. It was an extremely busy Sunday afternoon but we were served our food within 10 minutes of ordering and it was delicious. Dog friendly and a great atmosphere.

Don't buy gift vouchers they take ur money then 12 months later if u haven't 4 any reason used them say there not valied happy 2 take ur money though
