A great science museum with plenty of interactive exhibitions and a large outdoor playground. Definitely will go again with the auto upgraded annual pass with a tickets bought online. The only downside is the poor signs especially when entering the avenue, where it shares the space with the zip wire place.

Great place! Take a packed lunch
and spare clothes for the kids as the water section is really fun and the kids get stuck in! Took a 1 year old and 5 year old and whilst fun the science and history went over their heads understandably but the place itself and all the things they could get involved with was super.

A nice facility with very supportive staff. The area is an old steel mill now turned into a children's education and entertainment space. The facilities are clean and well managed with excellent disabled access. Staff are friendly and available to assist.

Visited for a private event but 100% would love to come back to witness it in all its glory when it’s open to the public!

I visited Magna Science Park for Secret Con which is a cosplay and photography event. In between shoots we got to explore the exhibits and it was great! Lots of interactive stuff, kept a bunch of adults happy so I'm sure kids will love it!

My husband took me on a date day here we had a lovely time. Very interesting and we had a tour of extra bits by one of the museum staff and the black smith demo was great fun. The cafe did an excellent jacket potato with cheese and beans and salad came with it too!!

A fantastic day out. We have been several times and our Grandchildren love going. There are a number of new activities for them to do in each of the areas which they really enjoyed. The children vary in age from 4 to 8 but there is lots for the all to enjoy. We will be going back.

We have an annual pass and come regularly, my 6 year old loves it!
My only niggle is the wait time in the cafe. It seems to be staffed appropriately in the kitchen and making hot drinks, but only one person on the till makes the wait time very long! My only area of improvement 🙂

It's a good place for a day out with the kids. Loads of fun activities within. Weather is a bit cool in February that we can't enjoy the outdoor area. We are looking forward to a return for the outdoor parks when it's warmer. I understand the limitation of the original steel factory structure but the indoor lighting is a bit dim, and the indoor temperature is a bit low even though in early spring time.

Went for the Winter ale festival
Arrived at 12:00 for Thursday opening and surprisingly, a lot of people waiting to get in.
Loads (250?) of different ales and ciders.
Massive place but a bit cool.
Brilliant place with school kids visiting the
Museum site.

Fantastic for the children and plenty to play with. Everything is very hands on. The reason for not giving 5 stars is that due to the buildings nature it is very weather dependent. It was 5°C outside and I wouldn't say it was much warmer inside so wrap up warm on cold days. Kids can get wet in the water section so coats again are advisable. I attended with a 2,4 and 11 year old and they all found something to entertain them in each of the 4 sections.

Magna is a great place for kids and adults alike. However appears underfunded, with many experiences either partly working or not working at all. More funding would make this place wonderful.

It wasn't quite what i was expecting when I first visited but we had a great time nonetheless. We loved the science show - deffo worth a watch and so reasonably priced! Love the gift shop has 'pocket money'priced items and not unreasonable prices. Lots of fun. Very interactive, the most recent visit had even more things to do which is great!
Shame the toddler area was closed on our last visit, could of done with the heads up online but forgiveable.
Nice day out :)

While Magna is still an interesting and engaging science visit, there is no need to re-visit within the "free year" they give you.
The exhibits all seem a little tired nowadays, with a number of them broken or missing. Control panels all seemed mushy. Touchscreens often did not work at all. A phone handset audio exhibit right at the entrance was also non-functional.
It feels like the owners have not re-invested in the centre since I was a child, 20 years ago. I'm sure they have, it just didn't FEEL like they had.

Magna has always been on my list to visit, after reading a few reviews I was a little concerned, I would say it’s a little bit pricey, but worth the visit my kids loved it, and with the price it includes an annual pass, if not for the attractions inside it’s probably worth it for the park and splash area outside, I will definitely use it in the warmer months, a lot of reviews said about how dark and cold it is, I liked the feel of the darkness it was very atmospheric, it felt like being on a Star Wars set, however there are some areas that really need to be lit up, I would say this definitely in the lift area, I’m disabled and couldn’t see the floor level on one particular floor and for some reason it was wet and extremely slippery, maybe some non slip flooring needs to be installed and some lighting, and you do need to wrap up as it’s very cold in all area’s I can totally understand the walk way’s not being warm as it’s a massive open space but maybe a few heaters in the attraction area’s, this being said my kids loved it and the interactive areas are great so I would definitely visit again.
