We went for a meal for my husband's birthday, it was fabulous. The decor is stylish but cosy, the staff were kind, helpful and friendly, the food was delicious with large enough portions and reasonably priced; best of all it's a dog friendly place with a special menu just for them! We will definitely come again soon.

Breakfast offer 2nd one half price in January mid week. For my husbands 60th today, very impressed, choice of tomatoes, fab poached egg, hot plates and food. Great quality, lovely snug area with our dog. Husband got a happy birthday treat plate too. Well done everyone 👍

got the bus to redcar took the dog on the beach I had a day tripper so jumped onto the bus to saltburn got of the high street walked down to the spa hotel sat outside had a cuppa the spa hotel is dog friendly so had a parmo very nice the only downfall to the place is the toilets clean and tidy but not enough the bus stop is at the bottom of the steps opposite the beach will definitely be going again

Lovely stay at this super hotel up on the cliff side overlooking the sea and countryside. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Food was way better than I had imagined, service, good choice of drinks. Social spaces and smaller spaces for a little more intimacy.

Visited recently while on holiday and had an evening meal here for my 60th birthday. As we had our dog with us we were in the bar area. It is a really lovely space. The staff were great. So friendly and helpful. We had the Sunday roast. I had the nut roast and my husband had the beef. The servings were huge and the quality fantastic. Extremely good value for money. Would definitely return

Enjoyed the NYE party, everything was fabulous. The staff, Ste, Jay and Sophie all very hardworking, attentive and friendly. Credit to the hotel. Food and service was amazing. Music and decor wonderful. Thank you to all the team for an enjoyable night.

Stopped here for drinks and had a couple of the special festive hot chocolates Although not cheap they were very good and we received a complimentary piece of home made shortbread which was fantastic The gentleman that served us was very good, greeting us as we entered and then being very pleasant and professional while serving us. I also really liked the ambience of the place as it was very cool and relaxed.

Had Xmas lunch with about 100 other people upstairs today. The 3 course meal was well cooked, tasty and plentiful. The service was very good and also the bar staff . It was a nice experience throughout.

As a bookclub we booked Treetops and The Outlook self catering properties for the weekend. Despite Storm Darragh disrupting plans Saltburn and the accomodation is a delight. Beautiful decor, everything you need, delicious breakfast at the Spa hotel, staff friendly, professional and cheery even when Saltburn was pitched into darkness for an hour or so with a power cut. Amazing location and views. Just wonderful .

This was a surprise day/night from my husband. From the moment we arrived we felt special! Natalie was warm and friendly but professional. Karen helped within minutes when we couldn’t get the heat right in our room. Room 2 was just gorgeous with the best views of the sea. My foot massage by Chloe was absolutely amazing. She was so lovely ….I didn’t want to leave. Afternoon tea was to die for. And then the Shandies playing on the evening was the cherry on top. Cannot fault this fantastic place. We’ll definitely be back!

Went for Christmas do, 80s night. DJ and music was brilliant but Xmas dinner let it down. Hardly any vegetables, had better elsewhere for an ordinary Sunday lunch.

Had the pleasure of dining here last night. 6 of us booked a table for my birthday, Stephen attended to our every need, very efficient, very knowledgeable, very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. He Is a credit to The Spa. Had a fabulous meal and will definitely be coming back again.

Another wonderful stay at the spa hotel. Rooms were clean comfortable and well appointed. Hotel staff were friendly and kind. The breakfast delicious and a very extensive choice. The restaurant and bar was brilliant. Stephen and all his amazing staff went above and beyond. Food was delicious and plenty of it. You won't go hungry here. Highly recommend

I went for a meal in the restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. Plenty of choice on the menu - I ordered the steak - cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious 😋. My friends meals were just as good and the cheesecake I had for dessert was amazing!! I can also recommend the cocktails . Mitchell - our waiter - was wonderful. Friendly, professional and a great sense of humour. I will definitely be back on my next visit. Great value for money.

My wife and I stayed at The Spa Hotel for two nights in September 2024. We booked up well in advance directly through the hotel website and the online booking experience was faultless. We chose the Attic Sea View Room and, despite the extra stairs to contend with, it was a great choice. The ocean view from our room was just so lovely. The hotel even provides a set of binoculars to gaze out at the magnificent vista (and people watching too). The hotel is really well maintained and overall is classy and stylish without being pompous. The room was large and comfortable, with a huge bed and plenty of pillows, and a large couch. The bathroom was modern and spacious and well equipped. There were plenty of plugs to keep devices and whatnot plugged in. The only problem we experienced with our stay was the heating did not work. We mentioned it to the front desk but the service technician had left and we never had it working during our short stay. The hotel was flexible and adaptable enough to provide an electric fan heater that was more than adequate. Overall the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the hugest benefits of staying at The Spa Hotel was the number of onsite amenities. The table service restaurant, the pizza bar, the vast cocktail bar, and the Amber Rooms. We were able to get my wife a short notice massage at the latter and she absolutely thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The dining room is right at the front of the hotel with more of those magnificent views. The food and wine we had on our first night was really good, and we were very grateful we did not have to venture out to find food after a long day winding around the narrow North York Moors roads. However, the piece d'resistance was without argument the pizza. We ate at the pizza bar on our second night and even though it felt like an age for our order to arrive (we were starving) it was more than worth it. This was THE BEST pizza either of us had anywhere. So fresh and tasty. The appetisers were great too (although I forgot what we had now). Its a long-arse way to go for pizza but I cant wait to get back up there. One note, parking is pretty tough. We didnt have issue finding a spot any time, but I did overhear a couple of complaints. And the spots I did find were REALLY tight for even a compact SUV. Anything larger you'd be SOL. A small car would be ideal. With all the other amenities attracting visitors to the facility there simply isn't enough space for everyone. I do think hotel guests should get priority over spa or restaurant guests. There is plenty of parking up on the esplanade, but that is a moderately steep walk uphill. Not great for everyone, so just be aware of that. Overall we were really happy with our choice to stay at The Spa. It's a wonderful location and an impeccable vacation experience. Very highly recommended.

Over priced and over rated. Tired and dated rooms. Perhaps they should spend less time on their political posturing and more time on dragging their hotel out of the 1980's.

We had a lovely long weekend here.Beautiful hotel, fantastic location , extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfasts were good and we even had a massage in the Amber rooms.We didn't want to leave. Highly recommended

Fabulous location, lovely food, amazing sea views, bedroom was lovely with beautiful floor to ceiling windows. It was the staff who made our stay from the lovely lady on reception who put out a happy birthday chair in the car park to surprise my partner to Neave “amazing” our waitress both of whom really helped to make our stay so special. Thank you.

Booked the afternoon tea for my partners birthday. Can highly recommend. The food was gorgeous and there was plenty of it that we took what we couldn't eat home . The staff are absolutely lovely will definitely be going back and definitely recommend to my friends and family xxx

We had the most gorgeous stay, thank you! Everything was wonderful. The incredibly kind and friendly service, amazing views, comfortable room and fabulous meals. Highly recommend the steak of the day, our teenage daughter said it was best steak she had ever had!! Highly recommend :)

Went for Sunday lunch,totally changed the menu since the last time we went so everyone had different meals which took an hour to be served even though there where lots of empty tables. All of our meals were very poor, worst Sunday lunch I've ever had. Sad to say it as I'm from saltburn and have had many lovely meals there over the years but somethings gone drastically wrong unfortunately.

The restaurant service last night to celebrate my Mum's 80th Birthday was excellent. The food was wonderful and our pre order for 12 people, especially one GF menu was well organised. Special thank you to Steve the manager and his staff Emma, Adam and Lucy.
