Don’t go if you have children, they aren’t allowed to walk anywhere in the restaurant or you’ll Be asked to leave essentially. You will be told by the manager in these exact words “get your kid at the table we can’t have him running around, this is a restaurant not a playground darling, this is A restaurant not a playground love” so if you have a toddler who’s at walking age make sure they are strapped in to their chair, the manager desperately needs some customer service training.

Food was mediocre - and very expensive for what you get. The open salad bar should be avoided at all costs - I even saw a child eating from one of the spoons with his mother watching him. Chips too salty and the rest of the meal was merely adequate. Haven't been there for a few years - last time must have been before lockdown. Needless to say we won't be going back again. Ever. Plenty of much better value options in the area from The Castle to the Parsons @rse, so why bother?

Not for the first time, service with a grimace from management. Stepped into pub entrance from beach to see table with sign 'dog friendly'. Told no wet dogs allowed inside because of carpets. I responded to ask if it was OK (where we were) on wooden floor, told no. Mentioned big tub of 'dog treats' was empty to manager's response 'yeah, I know' (no eye contact). Only reason for coming here is location.

The service at this restaurant is not great. We Got to the restaurant at about 8.30pm we did not have a booking but the place was not busy. When we went in we felt like we put the person who was front of house out by ask if they had a table. The food we had was not bad, but we were given no cutlery and not given the option to have salad. Took an age for the food to get to us. When we asked for the bill we waited so long I went to the bar to pay. We will not come back to this place.

We went there for a celebration and we were quite disappointed of how the food tasted along of how I was treated at the till. There was an offer that if you subscribe you ll get 25%off.The employer /manager at the till in rude manners told me we do not accept this, and when I have tried to explain that it was an offer on their website he replied in the same way again. I have wrote to the HQ complaining about the situation and I was totally ignored.

The Salad Bar is excellent!!!! Best dessert option ever!!! Build your own Sundae is a brilliant idea to keep the children occupied. Plenty parking space with 4 hours allowence. Great location with playground next by. We had a great time there! Thank you for the lovely staff 🥰, great service! Highly recommend!

Staff were very welcoming and polite. Good menu choice. Floor area grubby with food littered. Maybe have a dedicated adult only area we seemed to have screaming kids in every direction which was a pity given we had come out for a date night without our own. Nice meal though non the less.

What a wonderful experience. Visited Saturday 15th Jan 2025. We were tended by a waiter called Charlie who went out of his way to make my daughter who has a SEVERE NUT ALLERGY feel at ease . He did this with such professionalism, patience and something we all appreciated humor! This NUT ALLERGY of my daughter is at such a level where she is reluctant to eat out. The skilful way that Charlie handled her ALLERGY was quite special. I am so impressed and thankful. Pearson/Camp family.

Charlotte was out waitress and was really lovely makeing sure we were comfortable, had all we needed and that our food was ok. She has a lovely outgoing personality with a great sense of humour to brighten up a dull and wet Friday afternoon

We attended the restaurant on a Sunday late afternoon and found the service and food fantastic. Charlotte was extremely engaging and calm with a good sense of humour and delivered a great service. Only giving 4* overall due to the salad bar being quite lack lustre and the response from another waitress (didn’t get her name unfortunately) who’s brief interactions with us made us feel uncomfortable due to her unfriendly and brunt manner. We appreciate she may have been busy and had a difficult day maybe but her attitude towards us was basically rude. We would go back again and hope that we meet Charlotte again to serve us 😊. The food was very good, the chicken amazing!
