As an avid traveler across the UK and a passionate connoisseur of fish and chips, I have had the pleasure of sampling this beloved dish from some of the finest establishments, including award-winning venues, celebrity chefs, and Michelin-starred restaurants. However, my recent experience at Wetherby Whaler stands out as the pinnacle of my culinary journey.
The fish and chips were nothing short of exceptional. The batter was remarkably light and crisp, perfectly encasing the haddock, which was exquisitely tender and flaky. The atmosphere was enhanced by the friendly and welcoming demeanor of the staff, who contributed to a delightful dining experience.
Moreover, the pricing was surprisingly reasonable. I opted for the senior menu, which offered appropriately portioned servings that were satisfying without being excessive. I did, however, notice another guest indulging in a generously sized “whale” portion, which certainly caught my eye.
In summary, Wetherby Whaler has set a new standard for fish and chips, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unparalleled culinary delight.

Excellent Haddock and chips at a very reasonable price for us over 60's including a pot of tea or coffee all served in pleasant surroundings. Plus on a very cold January day it was comfortable warm

Wetherby Bridge Club held a fish and chip and bridge evening. We ordered fish and chips x 42 portions which was prepared, packed and even helped to load in my car. Everything was lovely. A big big Thankyou to all the staff who made this a great experience.
