The food was excellent. We had Sunday roast. Dog friendly our little spaniel got his own bowl of water and a handful of treats. The staff were friendly and efficient. Car parking could have been an issue but a space became vacant just as we got there. We will go back. Thank you.

The food and staff are both great.
The only negative I could say is the lack of parking, but that can't be helped.
This place is well worth a try.

I always have a great dining experience here. It's a nice pub with attentive staff, although it is a bit on the expensive side. Since COVID, dining out has generally become much more costly, which I know is challenging for the hospitality industry. However, if they ensure that people's experiences are worth the expense, success should follow naturally. One downside is that parking can sometimes be a real issue; it’s nearly always full, which indicates that others must also be enjoying good dining experiences.

Went for another fabulous meal. We both decided on the Buttermilk Chicken Burger and had Parmesan Truffle fries and dirty fries. Followed up by Crumble and Brownie desserts. I can say best ever burger we have had. Lots of choice on menu specials too. The rooms look good must remember to try here on another trip this way. 2 out of 3 rooms are dog friendly. This place is a gem

Oct. 24. Update. our 2nd visit with a Weekday lunch with friends: Good food, beer and service. Plan on coming back soon(ish) to sample the upcoming Christmas menu. 😉. Spring 24. Lovely Sunday Lunch (Beef for me and Pork for my partner) and friendly staff with a good pub atmosphere. Only major downside is the lack of parking when it's busy, since only about 5 designated spaces at the front. VERY popular, even though only begining of March so strongly recommend booking your table in advance.

Stopped in for lunch on our way through Suffolk and we're so glad we did. Service was excellent the food was delicious (truffle chips!!) and it truly was dog friendly.

In the middle of nowhere (it seemed to me!), a lovely little pub that served sure lovely food. Great service, great atmosphere. They allow dogs, which is always a bonus for us.

A lovely old pub with lots of cosy tables. We visited on a Monday afternoon after a walk on Dunwich Beach and the pub was busy with a good atmosphere. Very dog friendly with water and treats brought to our table.
Excellent service from all the staff and a great selection of beers and wines which were well kept. My Wife had what she said was the best fish pie she'd ever had. Lovely fresh ingredients with huge prawns, cod and salmon. My chicken burger was excellent.
I love the fact it's open for food all day every day. We will definitely be coming back

I can also recommend the roast and bacon and blue burger.
Parking is difficult when they are full so get there early and have a drink while you wait for your table.

A must visit if your in the area or simply fancy drive out. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Dog friendly premises as well. The food, well its fantastic. We have eaten here several times and each one has been faultless. Great value for money as well. I whole heartedly recommend the Sunday Roasts. By far the best I have ever had by a very, very long way.

Very popular, so certainly worth booking a table if you're planning on going - we turned up at 6.30 on a Thursday without a booking, and they just managed to find us a table for two. The service was super-friendly and efficient. The food was amazing (starter: scallops; mains: pork belly & chive mash, and Asian-style noodles with pork belly) - tasty and generous portions. Thank you - will definitely return to eat here again next time we are in the area.

Best food in the area by far!!!! The fish and chips, dare I say it, is even better than the seaside fish and chips in Aldeburgh! Service is always 5 stars, and dog friendly which is a huge plus. Love this pub! And reasonable prices, too!!!!
