After the long trek to get around all the roadworks to get to the museum, it was great to get the train up to the Minster. Whoever marked out the route from the railway station to the museum should have a rethink.

The history here is undeniable. The Mallard and many other examples of the history of the railways. However, viewing is not ideal. There are too
few "platforms" beside the trains and carriages and too many of the models that should work, don't. I appreciate that it is free entry and as such you can't expect miracles but as the National museum I did expect a bit more interactivity.

Used on weekday, train was empty, we were middle carriage and as the train drove the diesel fumes poured in, not a pleasant journey.

On line enterprise ticket needed still u der construction until fully completed 2027, but still worth visiting

Went to the railway museum as it was a wet day but was pleasantly surprised lots of trains also you can for a small price have a VCR experience on the flying Scotsman plenty for kids to do as well and plenty of cafes plus the added bonus it's free to get in
