Stunningly beautiful with a setting to die for. What a view! However, be prepared for a bit of wind!

The park is quite large and has a number of interesting sites to visit. There are some great walks too, both around the park and along the clifftop. Downhill mausoleum is interesting and gives some great views over the park. The Downhill house ruins are particularly interesting, especially around the demise of the house. I bet this was an amazing place in its heyday. The most interesting part for me at least was Mussenden temple, which appears in Game of Thrones. This is a fascinating temple, right on the cliff edge. We visited for the temple as it was in Game of Thrones. This park is certainly worth a visit.

Well worth a visit, short walk through amazing ruins to the temple. I’ve heard that it’s open sometimes for certain events, we’ll be back to see the interior if we can. And a grand little coffee truck in carpark.

The beauty of this place always amazes the eye. Suitable to visit all year, and don't be shy to try the excellent coffee close to the gate.

Had wonderful afternoon of Christmas music performed superbly in Mussenden by Counterpoint choir. So sad to hear that it’s Peter’s last concert. He has been an inspiration. National Trust staff here went the extra mile to organise and ensure smooth running. Well done

One of my favourite places in NI.. Have been there for more than 10 time by now.. The view from there is spectacular. The drive in beach (down hill) is also really wonderful

Downhill Mauoleum, located near Castlerock in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, is a magnificent historic estate managed by the National Trust. The site features the ruins of Downhill House, a grand mansion built in the 18th century by Frederick Augustus Hervey, the Earl-Bishop of Derry. The estate is renowned for its breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and its picturesque grounds. Two car park spots, one is on top of the hill and the other one is down;pay park area.coffee shop, picnic area and in 10 minutes convenient stores found. The highlight of the property is Mussenden Temple, a circular structure perched dramatically on a cliff edge. Inspired by the Temple of Vesta in Italy, it was originally a library and is now one of the most photographed landmarks in Northern Ireland. The temple provides stunning views of Downhill Strand and the surrounding coastline. The Demesne offer • Walking trails: Explore the ruins, gardens, and woodlands. • Beaches: Downhill Strand, below the cliffs, is a popular spot for walking and surfing. • History and architecture: Learn about the estate’s fascinating past and the Earl-Bishop’s eccentric personality. It’s an excellent spot for photography, picnics, and immersing yourself in Northern Ireland’s rich heritage and natural beauty.

I loved this place as a child, staying at Castlerock, with the Bishop's palace and the Glen, but it is an amazing sight from Downhill strand. Truly an icon of the North Antrim coast
