Stopped to get lunch sausage supper advertised at £4:99 but that’s for 1 sausage so £5:99 for2.sausage both reheats burnt black on the bottom both must have been from night before as it had not long opened 12:00 noon chips scraggy.please avoid this shop as it’s a rip off That’s the last time I will ever visit.All went in the bin.Would not even offered it to the dogincase it upset him. You should hang your head in shame.people that sever that supper have no conscience.

Women behind the counters service was terrible, came in and made our order face was tripping her the whole time when giving our order was tutting away not even looking at us was asking her if they did a sausage not in the batter for the child because he doesn’t like it in the batter she was even annoyed by that question looking at us if we where stupid basically threw our change at us, and when waiting for our food, when customers where phoning to make a delivery was getting annoyed because the phone was ringing as well and once off the phone making remarks like what a stupid order, not one for leaving reviews but how this women has a job in there is beyond me.

A piss-take. My younger brother ordered food from here on Uber eats, was taking a long time so he called and they said the delivery driver hadn’t arrived yet. Fair enough.
Wait a bit longer (an hour and a half in total) and called again and they said he can either keep waiting for the driver to show or come and collect. He walked 20 minutes to collect and asked if he could get a discount for the inconvenience which they refused (they didn’t even bother to call to say the driver hadn’t shown - he had to call them twice).
He then asks if he can sit in because they’ve walked to collect the food and didn’t want it to get cold. They said yes but took his delivery fee off him!!
They’ve totally taken advantage of him because of his age, he absolutely would not have been treated like that if he was older.
Handled terribly, the staff should be ashamed and need some training in customer service.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Edinburgh. Food was tasty, batter was nice & crispy. King Rib is something I haven't seen before but it was strangely nice. Reasonably priced and staff were friendly and helpful.
The curry sauce was a little to spicy for our liking.

Fish was very poor . Clearly neither Cod or Haddock . Our local chippie offers Cod or Haddock at lowered prices and much better quality . Maybe this is Pollock ?

Visited for our tea, fantastic service from Jay and Ali, and the food was spot on. Freshly cooked to order. Thankyou. Will visit again if ever we visit Ayr again.

Got the chicken burger with salad and chips also got a chicken breast with chips both were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! Service is quick and staff are all so lovely and help full. Also chips are the most fresh chips I've had in a long time. Would highly recommend 10/10

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Dog friendly and very clean. Would recommend a visit to anyone looking for delicious fish and chips in Ayr. Sarah, Kim and Michael were very friendly and cooked us amazing food.

Food terrible, service really bad and woman at till area and in back kitchen handing money scratching her head no hair net then not washing her hands then cooking food, (disgusting) my breakfast was very poor toast hard, stated on menu sliced sausage but I got link sausage which I didn't request, bacon was fatty and half cooked , chips were disgusting, egg was hard potato scone soggy and everything tasted of onion when asked about it they told me they didn't have anything with onions but both myself and my daughter tasted onions
My daughters single half pizza and single mac cheese was very mediocre. I also got 2 cans of juice. I was charged near £30 won't be back

The food is great and the staff are very friendly 😊. They also offer a Gluten free menu and the staff are very knowledgeable in this area. We ate here twice during our 4 day stay at Craig-Tara. Would highly recommend.

Popped in today for quick lunch. Service was great, friendly and attentive waitress, food was great. I noticed the same waitress serving a disabled customer who was there with their carer and it was lovely to see that she took the time to speak to the disabled gentleman and not just his carer. Well done Yvonne so nice to see these people being acknowledged.

We had the BL fish tea double OMG absolutely yum yum and they do the halal option, you have to wait a little but 100% worth it, fish and chips were so fresh and tasty I defi recommend when in Ayr go to blue lagoon.

Popped in for a chippy tea last night and can honestly say I will be back the food was amazing quick and friendly service massive shout out to my server yvonne she was very professional and welcoming also Michael the fryer best chippy I have had in a long time..Will be back if only you could give more than 5 stars

One of the worst burgers I've ever tasted. The shock of the price of it is a joke as well as soft drinks .£28. seriously get a grip.my stomach still ache n didn't eat the roll ..the chips were rotten .never go back here..stick to burger king next time....for your reply an sent email. The food standard is garbage. I'm now thinking in sending in a complaint to health safety standard ..your worst than Macdonald's

Lovely meal for two this afternoon, the best fish and chips in the land. Service above and beyond and a great atmosphere, I would have voiced this in person if I hadn’t actually lost my voice presently. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you , and thank you for the rescue glass of water xx

The fish was absolutely amazing and the young assistant was attentive. Pity about the older females response when I asked about the portion size, she gestured with her hands and gave a look to her young colleague as if to belittle my question. It kind of spoilt our visit making me uncomfortable for the rest of our time there.

This Fish and Chips shop is very good and has a variety of items there was some vegans in our group and they said the vegan sausages were extremely good. The deep fried Mars Bar was so good I nearly bought another one the only thing was the lights were a bit bright and they had techno music would go again

Jay was welcoming and helped me get my first meal in 12 hrs. We had just gotten to Ayr and this was the place to go. I mistakenly walked in after closing but Jay never mentioned that, and Flavio, even though he had just thrown out the batter for the day, made some fresh after closing. Fantastic service and great price and portion. Jay and Flavio are the people you want to meet when it's late and you need food.
