The best restaurants in the world have a sense of place. Hidden away on the rugged Western coast of Scotland, the food at Inver just makes sense.

We had an incredible time at Inver for my husband's birthday. He is gluten and dairy-free, so I emailed in advance asking if there was anything that could be done. To my surprise, every course was tailored to suit in a way that flowed. Because of his intolerances, we have become used to getting random ingredient substitutions whenever we mention his dietary requirements, but Inver carefully thought out the courses so that they made sense and flowed really well. It was great that we could share the experience of the menu without eating completely different courses.
I was also pregnant and they were careful to ask me what I was comfortable with regarding red meat etc. We felt very looked after.
The icing on top of the cake was the gluten and dairy free waffles served with the tea and coffee - what a great touch.

Just a stunning night out. The food was nourishment and entertainment at the same time. Intense flavours in locally source d food that was prepared with care, love and skill.
The staff were kind, knowledgable and attentive.

Had a family big birthday lunch here. Food was fantastic and staff suberb. My favourite was a courgette tart- never had such a delicious courgette dish! It will be added to my memorable to die for food list! Music and venue were great but it was very quiet with only 2 other tables all seated adjacent to each other may have impeded the atmosphere. It was just very quiet with people chatting in hushed tones, and yet it is also had a casual and cosy vibe too. I did initially feel cheated by half of a fig custard tart for dessert, but it was so decadently rich that’s all anyone could feasibly manage! Interesting aperitif selection and fair wine list. But it’s the staff and the food that make it. Oh and the view of course!!

If you are in the area, please make a beeline for this restaurant. For not a lot of money, you will get fine dining and a smile on your face. I would like to visit again and again.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience!
From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with just the right blend of modern and cozy. The staff were incredibly attentive, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the entire evening.
Now, onto the food—absolutely divine! Every dish was a masterpiece, both in presentation and flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell a lot of thought went into crafting each item on the menu. The chef even came out to greet us, which added a personal touch to an already fantastic experience.
We started with the [starter dish], which was bursting with flavor, and moved on to the [main dish], cooked to perfection. Don’t even get me started on the dessert—it was the perfect sweet ending to a flawless meal.
If you’re looking for a restaurant that delivers on every level, from service to taste, this is it. We can't wait to return and try more of the menu!

A taste of all the best ingredients the region can offer. It’s incredible just how local most of the produce is sourced from, largely out of the nearby lochs or vegetable gardens in the surrounding area.
Excellent atmosphere and outstanding cooking that both delicious and inventive. A must for anyone passing by.

We had a superb couple of days at Inver. The staff were unfailingly helpful and cheery, the food artistically presented and imaginatively prepared, and the owners Pam and Rob thoughtful and caring.

An excellent modern restaurant with rooms. It is set in a great location on the banks of Loch Fyne on the much less visited eastern side. The food is very seasonal and based on local ingredients.

The tasting menu was one of the best. Their use of plants etc from the garden is the best. I will never forget that mackerel.
Staff are lovely.
The bothies are good but need air con or screens to keep out the midges. Maybe the best view from any room in the UK.
However, on the 2nd night we had the set menu. This was the worst meal I have had in a long time. The plaice was a disaster. I am assuming this was an aberration. But my tip for now is just do the tasting menu.

Found this gem of a restaurant quite by chance and decided to have drinks and lunch. OMG, a view to die for. Views over Loch Fyne and Lachlan Castle. Calm, tranquil, relaxing. Had the Loch fyne crab and it was delicious. Didn't have an alcohol drink as scottish law very strict on drink driving, so we toasted our lovely crab later that night in Oban.

A fantastic experience from arrival to departure! This was such a decade treat and one which I hope we can repeat.
Loved the accommodation - we stayed in one of the luxury bothies- v comfy and cosy and the view over the loch was stunning.
The dining experience is exceptional. We had cocktails in the bar with a "snack" platter (oysters, razor clams and more!) then enjoyed the rest of the tasting menu in the restaurant. Every bite was exquisite and I keep remembering flavours still. We had the wine pairing option which was fantastic. Everyone is very knowledgeable.
Surely one of the best fine dining experiences in Scotland.

Probably my fav place in Scotland. We stayed for one night in one of their bothies and it was incredible: the views of the castle, stylish decoration, comfortable bed… Everything has been well taken care of. We also enjoyed the best tasting menu I’ve ever had and service was superb. The stay also includes the best breakfast you can imagine. I genuinely cannot think of a better place for a romantic scape!

This was honestly the best dining experience I have had.
The food was exceptional and a true delight on the taste buds. The atmosphere was friendly yet professional. Exquisite menu and taste. Paired wine outstanding.
Breakfast was delivered to your room and the most amazing basket of homemade beauty I have ever seen.
We will be back. Planning it already.
