Avoid this hotel. Booking was taken via booking.com. Turned up to stay for the night and the place was under construction which was never mentioned at time of booking. Couldn't get into the place and it was a total mess. Had to stay elsewhere at our own cost. Contacted them and booking.com for a refund and never got one despite them saying they would. Poor service would not recommend.

We booked here for a friend's wedding this summer and just they've cancelled our booking without explanation, completely leaving us in the lurch. This was a hotel the couple recommended, and we booked as soon as we received the invitation. I wish I could vouch for the hotel itself, but looks like won't be able to. Thanks so very much!

Dont stay place is a dump with lazy staff awful manager, rotten frozen food most good reviews on sites are placed there by friends and family of the owners, fire safety is a real issue !!!

Fire safety very poor ,I have a 15 page document of all the safety issues that the owners have been aware of for over 2 years but won't spend the money to sort they only want your cash, don't care about your safety.

I only stayed one night so did not get to enjoy the hotel much. Room was ok, curtains faded and room generally was tired, not dirty. Breakfast was good and filling.

We had a lovely stay here. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The breakfast was tasty and the room was warm, clean and comfortable. Cute village and surrounding area. Looking forward to coming back one day.

The hotel was in a great location for our upholstery course nearby. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious with great choices. It was lovely to be able to go for a swim and jacuzzi at the end of the day. Will definitely stay again.

A pleasant accommodation a few bus stops from the Lomond hills. The establishment accepts the deposit of luggage very early in the day, which is a real plus for the heavily loaded hikers. A good feeling !

Great service and excellent food. Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms adequate for a short stay. could do with getting a pumped system for showering. bit frustrating.

Dont be expecting anything when you go to this hotel. I was there for a wedding at Balbirnie house and had planned to drive back. Booking a hotel was a lastminute decision and only place available was the The Lomond Hills. Its located in the heart of the town. Its a place to put your head down, once you walk in you feel like you have gone through a time machine and been spat out in the 1960s. We paid for breakfast and what amazed was being told that it depends how the chef is feeling. Firstly i thought dont offer the service if you can't provide it. We went down at 8.30 am, immediately i could tell that the kitchen and the service waiter want working as a team. We waited over an hour for our breakfast and when it came we had no appetite, toast was cold it was an experience. Definitely not a good experience. Would we going back, thats a big No.

We were made to feel very welcome from the owners Alex’s and Jan nothing was to much trouble, food was excellent and plenty choice, it’s an old hotel so our side of the building still needed upgraded but extremely clean, we met lovely people, keep up the good work well done to all the staff

This is the second time we have stayed here and the lady who runs the place is great, nothing is too much trouble and our room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was delicious. We will be back again in the near future.
