Had a lovely time at the Merchant. The food was good, enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was top notch. Aidan stood out in particular, he was very helpful when it came to recommending drinks and provided fast service to our group.

The food was brilliant!!!! We ordered the steak pie, lasagne, fish and chips, and the bacon toastie - all amazing, great quality, and good portions ! Will be coming back just for the food alone

Went to the Merchant on a recent trip to Glasgow, when looking through the menu Aidan was very helpful as I had a few questions relating to allergies. His patients and knowledge of the menus was very reassuring which really made a difference.

Lovely venue, great for a late night drink with your pals and watching whatever sports you desire, great guy on the bar Aidan was brand new, will be back for sure.

Food cold. Returned to kitchen. Replacement meal not good either. Used my MIXR points. Have had much better meals in other outlets in the same Group. Very disappointing! No great apology from managers in charge. No offer of any recompense or other remedial action. No reflection of the Group who are great in general.

Arrived on Saturday with a group of friends and noticed a reserved table and no one had arrived within the 15 mins grace period. We sat down and confirmed with staff that the group had lost their reservation and we were welcome to keep the table.
Unfortunately, The Merchant decided to breach their own T & C and tried to throw us off our table, some 90mins to 2hrs after the group failed to arrive. Absolutely appalling behaviour however, the table next to us were refused service because they wouldn't vacate the table for the same group reservation!!!
I would not recommend anyone to reserve or visit this establishment as their treatment of customers was downright disgusting!!!
Between the 2 tables, they lost out on 20+ customers and our associated expenditure for the remainder of the evening!!!!

Went for the quiz on Thursday. Although we didn't win ,we had a great time. Would definitely recommend the quiz.

The food and drink were value for money.
However, our visit was marred by the bar manager, not upholding the reserved table policy and refusing to serve our table because the people who had reserved the table turned up 90 minutes LATE!!!
This also happened to an adjacent table of 10 people who were treated in the same manner!

Arriving at the pub i noticed it was clean and had a great atmosphere. Best pub in city centre for live sports and great variety of drinks and food.
I downloaded the Mixr app and got a welcome drink.
The staff are really friendly and approachable.
We ordered food and it came quick and piping hot. Burger was my fave.
Will be back soon.

We had such an amazing time when we were in the merchant over Christmas! Eilidh who served us was so helpful & recommended the macaroni burger which was amazing! Will definitely be back!

Disappointed with our visit yesterday. Used the table service for drinks. Most of our orders took about 10/15 minutes except the last which took 40 minutes to receive a pornstar martini and a pint. The place wasn't that busy so there was really no excuse and we were offered little to no apology. If you are not able to deliver on table service then simply do not offer it. A positive is there are many screens that are a great size. I would visit to watch a game but wouldn't stay long past this.

An okay pub could be better you could smell the toilets which isn't nice. Food was cold but didn't complain as who knows what they would do the food. Drinks okay. Busy at times. Staff polite
