I attended a free witches workshop as part of the Glasgow Open Doors festival and it was absolutely fantastic. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it included some foraging with folklore, history of the hall and witchcraft. The guides were really friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, with a super engaging and well researched tour. I'd never heard of Provan Hall before and now I'm keen to come back!

Great hidden gem of Glasgow's East End. Who knew just behind McDonald's and walking distance from The Fort is a medieval building that has been restored and is free to visit. Beautiful Garden for a walk and informative wee exhibit that shows how Glasgow grew and changed over the time Provan Hall has been there. Lots of other community events available through the year - worth a look for families or teachers looking for a new place to visit.

Nice looking now that it has been refurbished however there is very little to see inside to be honest although it is very well presented. Maybe it’s something planned for the future but it would be good to see the gardens brought back to former glory, there certainly is plenty of potential in the grounds. Worth a visit all the same given it’s one of the oldest buildings in Glasgow.

I went there as part of an organised ghost hunt. The place is fantastic and I was blown away that this is in Glasgow. I would recommend flat shoes as a building of that age shows it's age in the wear and tear on the floors. If you are interested in history this is a must, it is dripping in it.

Site not open yet after refurbishment , so only got a walk round perimeter. Looking great and looks like it might be opening again soon. Potentially older than Provands Lordship on High St.

Architect unknown Category A listed This was the country seat of the medieval prebend (a sort of large parish) of Barlanark. The priest who lived here would spend six months each year preaching at Glasgow Cathedral and the other six here. Two buildings sit across a courtyard with whinstone walls completing the defensive enclosure. The north block, with its stout stair tower, looks older. However the southern block may simply be much adapted to its current Georgian appearance. The ground-floor vaulted roofs in the north building run in different directions, creating a structure of great stability. A timber tower, like a traditional Scots keep, may once have adjoined its western gable.

Lovely gardens and good place to walk and be in nature. There is a little area with a metal tree that has metal leaves that are inscribed for baby's that passed away before there time. Not a lot of parking within the site you may have to park outwith on a busy day. Rumoured to be the oldest building in Glasgow and the most haunted.
