I went to The Citizen in Glasgow for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The relaxed, modern atmosphere and creative dishes made for a delightful meal. Friendly, prompt service rounded out a perfect mid-day break. Highly recommended!

Very nice place to eat in with a nice and cozy atmosphere. The staff was lovely and we even got introduced to Tennent's beer for the first time thanks to one of the staff members. Had a great time there, thank you 😊

First time visiting the Citizen, and it certainly won’t be my last.
From the second of stepping through the front door, the service was incredible. Every member of staff was dressed immaculately & had a fantastic manner.
All three courses were out of this world - highly recommend the haggis Bon Bons, lamb rump & cheesecake.
A faultless experience - already looking for an excuse to come back.

It's buzzing. Spacious and comfortable
Glasgow has some magnificent buildings, there is money in this city and it shows.
To be able to maintain the standard of food and the upkeep and running of such an establishment is eye watering in regards to the cost.
69 pounds for 2 courses plus drinks was a bargain. The food was excellent without fault.

Brilliant place to eat out in Glasgow. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Food is great, beautiful decor. Will definitely be back again in the future.

The big plus for me is table service for drinks. The waiters were excellent. They were friendly and they could see when you were nearly finished your drink and asked if you needed a top up. I didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food.

Pretty nice place in the centre of Glasgow. Scotch Broth was delicious. My big guy went for the Sunday Roast.
Would have given a better rating, but just a kinda shitty attitude by one server can make or break a visit to a restaurant.

Decent food + shitty attitude = doesn't guarantee a return visit.

One of the very few places in Scotland where you can get Tennents, unpasteurised, straight from the tank. A great pint👍🏽
