Great experience. Great service from Mandy and great food by Robert and KJ. We had a nice seat by the fire and our dog got lots of attention and treats. Can't fault the place. Would definitely recommend!

Was in for the first time today, and can definitely say I’d be back, the food was delicious steak was perfect and kids loved there fish and chips, the service from Scott was outstanding such a kind pleasant man, made sure we where satisfied and had everything we needed. He definitely went above and beyond for us not many restaurants and servers make us feel as welcome and comfortable as he did. Will definitely be back

Had a lovely meal in here. Decor is warm and inviting. Good selection of food. Steak (my favourite ) was cooked just how I like it, medium rare, my partner had the classic burger. All was cooked well and served promptly. Scott, our server, was lovely, always smiling, nothing too much trouble for him. He is an asset to the restaurant. He was very attentive in his service to us. Will definitely be back

Wonderful service provided by our server Kelsey, attentive and at the ready for anything we needed. Enjoyed the food however portion was small even for being a side plate. Good atmosphere with music playing and chatter from staff and customers.

Have been going The Stables quite a while now usually day visits . And service and food is always amazing . Sadly went this weekend on Friday nite . Sadly food wasn’t up to its normal great standard and service was so poor . Booked table server showed us to table was very pleasant . Waited for good 10 mins before anyone came back to take our drinks order and food order . Starters where lovely bit sadly one off the mains meals . Fish cake and veg and potatoes were really poor standard veg and potatoes so hard couldn’t even eat them. Then had to go up to the bar and get a drink as no other server came back to our table . To check if new drinks were required or how food was . Got desert menu but then sadly sever never came back to take the order 15 mins later had to stop another server and ask could they take the order . We then waited at least 20 mins for the desert . I understand that you have to wait if really busy but the places wasn’t that busy . Sadly service was the poorest I have ever had in The Stables and food not on par aa normal .

Visited the Stables for a Sunday lunch - we had the lamb roast and sticky chicken bites to start with sides of Mac and cheese and onion rings. The food as always is amazing (thank you chef KJ!) but the standout of our visit was the service from Kelsey who was super friendly and helpful!

We were in the area and needed somewhere to walk the dog and eat. Absolutely perfect on all counts. Food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient and they really go above and beyond to make be dog friendly! Treats, water and blankets, staff giving the dogs cuddles and even food for dogs(chicken or sausages) served along side our food. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more!

We had a lovely evening at The Stables in Kirkintilloch. There were 10 in our party & we were celebrating my daughter getting a new job. From start to finish it was a very enjoyable meal. Our waitress, Eleanor, was attentive, polite, courteous and really good at banter. She was very knowledgeable about the food being served & helped my husband choose his dairy free meal. Equally, she was very good with my 2 year old granddaughter when getting her food organised. The food served by chef Robert was excellent. It included, lamb shanks, fish & chips, lasagne, and burgers with fries.

I actually recommended The Stables to friends while we were there!
We've been there once before, around 18 months ago and had thought it was lovely. We don't live locally but after last night we will definitely be going back more frequently and are more than happy to travel. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere and welcome were warm and friendly and this didn't change at all in the three hours we were there for. Service was wonderful and the food was gorgeous, and our dog was delighted with his freshly cooked sausage and peas. The only way you could improve would be to move yourselves a little closer to my house!
