From checking in until leaving, this was a wonderful long weekend away. The location, food and service from very attentive staff. Nothing too much bother. Only negative was that I found the bed wasn't particularly comfortable. Saying that, everyone's mattress comfort taste differs.

This place is by far one of the best places you can go in Scotland for a break with the family. We have now stayed in the lodges and the hotel itself and each time we have been, we have had an unforgettable experience. The breakfast buffet is amazing and has everything you could ever want and more. There is also a swimming pool and a health suite which we frequented regularly however we did not get round to trying the lavender spa but look forward to trying this on our next visit. The hotel also has real coal fires in its lobby which we have never experienced before in a hotel. The scenery and location of the hotel itself is mythical and being only a 10 minute walk to the Main Street it was very easy to visit the town centre for some shopping during the day. A must visit and a firm favourite of ours. Ronnie, Mel and Family.

There is a long driveway leading up to the hotel & when the hotel comes into view, it really is a spectacular building that just oozes class & style. I was at the hotel for tea & sandwiches following a funeral, so I didn't stay in a room. The decor is typically Scottish with tartan carpets etc & is stunning. The food was delicious & the staff were professional, knowledgeable & very courteous.

Do not go expecting a relaxing time at the pool! We booked mainly for the indoor leisure facilities. Pool cold - well below the recommended 29 degrees, jacuzzi out of order and steam room required a cup of water to be constantly thrown over the thermostat as it wasn’t functioning properly (was told this by a leisure club member who said it had been like that for some time). When we complained we got an email from Graeme saying “It appears that during your visit there were a few technical malfunctions for a very short period of time that had occurred. Kind regards and all the best for the festive season” - No compensation and not even an APOLOGY

Overall a lovely stay and provided us with what we were looking for - Scotland in winter! The grounds are great for exploring, you truly do feel you are in a rural world.
The building was looking very festive, with roaring fires and other olde worlde charming features.
The view from Verandah restaurant at breakfast gave us a stunning sunrise and set us up for a great start to the day.
The jacuzzi and steam were empty but perfect, which I appreciated and took advantage of.
The meals are fine and delivered efficiently. The waiting staff work hard, both at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast variety was good and had everything you would want.
The room was one of the renovated ones and suited us perfectly. They must spend a fortune on heating as it was very toasty and cosy - we turned it down and had window open slightly on the second night.
Minor gripes - bed too soft and small chips in the bath. Front desk staff could have been more welcoming upon arrival but hey ho.

Atholl palace was our favorite stay in Scotland. We had an issue with our first lodge and the staff immediately found an alternative lodge that was perfect for us. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The grounds were beautiful and so relaxing to wander around and explore. We spent evening in the pub enjoying the fire, food and playing board games. We will absolutely return to atholl palace on our next trip!

Bit on the stingy side, didn’t care to even refund the prepaid dinner when I couldn’t make it in due to froze up roads and a blizzard hitting during the stay. Very pretty building though

Good hotel that has loads of character and charm lovelly welcoming staff plenty of heat with log burning fires all round the hotel a small walk into the town of Pitlochry great location for outdoor walks

Great hotel with an amazing palace atmosphere! Quite rooms and comfy bed! We used the swimming pool and the jacuzzi and it was fantastic! Definitely would recommend staying in here.

Lovely hotel, with plenty of comfortable chairs around 4 possibly 5 fire places, to relax in with a good book and a drink or two after a meal.

Great cosy and welcoming hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were cosy & spacious and had everything we needed with stunning views.
Sunday carvery and breakfasts were excellent: lots of choice, great quality, good service and more beautiful views.
